The color emphasizes a dark theme very well. The brushing beneath the text unifies its appearence, adds balance with the picture on the right and fills the necessary space; thus, making a visually appealing layout. I don't see any obstruction whatsoever, very nice indeed!  |

On principle and my stubborn aesthetics, I block every layout I come across, unless it happens to be particularly interesting or pleasing to me. Yours is one of four layouts I've chosen not to block. |

My biggest suggestion, expand the width of the scrollbar area, you like to make big quotes without cutting things out, and it's just too small of an area for that little habit of yours. Honestly, you might even consider eliminating the scrollbar and try to make some other SamuraiX/Rurouni Kenshin themed layout. Out of curiousity, what resolution do you use for your screen? I'm assuming 800x600, perhaps? Because your layout seems off in 1024 x 768. |

Scrollbar layouts (most, not all) = auto block.
They're becoming pretty common now. It's a shame.  |

It's a fine picture. Scrollbar layouts suck though.
