DD pwns. Mario Kart 64 was repetitive.

I don't really like Petey Pirahna either. I mean, he's fine as the occasional boss, but they didn't need to throw him into shit like Mario Kart and Mario Golf.
Though, I did otherwise love Double Dash, possibly moreso than any previous Mario Kart. It was all around beautiful and fun. Repetitive didn't even matter. Me and a group of friends (either three of my friends or my sister and two of her friends, didnt matter) would just play constant Vs matches at Baby Park, and it never got old. |

She's kicking ass! Makes you wonder why she didn't do all this before.

Shigeru doesn't take drugs, he just has a..."very special"...mind. He comes up with extremely unique ideas instead of buying off the popularity of competitor's games. (Crash Bandicoot???) Hopefully, though, he won't make Zelda too much more unique. Gamers hate sudden change. |

If you guys are interested in the New Super Mario Bros, check out Super Princess Peach.
No, seriously. I'm not even kidding. The concept itself is pretty bad, but it actually looks like a really excellent 2D platformer. Reminds me of SMW2, Yoshi's Story, in a lot of ways. It looks colourfull and fun. Check out the awesome video. Like, right here.
As for the actual topic, I don't believe this is the end of LoZ. I mean, why would they get rid of their most popular series? Thats retarted. They'll probably just change the formula a little bit. How, though, I have no idea. |

"I worked on it personally, moreso than Wind Waker. I haven't invested as much into any game as I have this one," Miyamoto said.
Link's Story. Theres your Zelda II remake! Or maybe Pik-Link, you control hundreds of slave Links and make them do all your dirty and dangerous work. See them all kill the enemies with tiny swords, or better still, get eaten. |

Next time someone mentions that, simply ask when the last time they saw an octopus on dry land that was walking around and shooting rocks.
Good point. I'll correct myself.

I miss being able to jump in Zelda games. Bring back the Roc's Feather from Link's Awakening, make it an early and important enough item to be built into the interface (one of those pressure sensative shoulder buttons would be perfect, if they still have those). Then you can get all Zelda-2 again without people complaining about it being unrealistic that Link can jump as high as Mario.
Zelda 2 was my favorite of the series. I didn't care about the RPG system, and I disliked the lack of Link's bag of tricks, but the fighting was the best of any Zelda.
And for a completely different idea: Zelda, the real time strategy game. Play as Ganondorf's legions of evil or the last remnants of Hyrule's army during the seven years Link was missing. |

I know Nintendo announced that they needed people to make a second sequel for SMRPG. It was in the N64 times, but nothing came to a good end. I saw this in a Nintendo games magazine here in Chile. I think i'll have to search for it (and translate it, because it's in spanish ) |

Thats why im looking forward to "New Super Mario Bros" (Working Title) for the DS.
Same here, definitely looking forward to that one.
I'm interested in seeing your info / sources Kario, because as far as I know, hardly -any- kind of remote piece of information has been announced for Mario 128. |

I notice you did not mention the utter awesomeness that is Yoshi's Island. It had a lot of elements that I would consider unique for Mario games that had come out at the time. |

Honestly, Mario 128 doesnt look that good to me. They strayed too far from the classics to go back and it still work. There will never again be a little Mario that gets a shroom n turns into Super Mario, now its Super Mario that gets a mushroom and becomes insanely huge. It will sell good because its Mario and its 2D, which in most peoples mind translates to "classic awesomeness" but it will still be insanely different. |
