Yeah, a fan is one of the easiest (and cheapest) components to replace. I believe CompUSA sells chipset cooling fans and heatsinks for a reasonable price. |

You should be able to replace the fan without replacing the entire board. |

Hmm... recently the fan on my motherboard (not my processor) starting making grinding sounds (whereas before it was completely silent). I'm worried that I might need to replace it. Any insights on what I should do? Assuming I DO need to replace my mobo, what should I get in it's place?
The motherboard I have currently is an A-Bit NF7s with an onboard nVidia soundcard... I got it two years ago off of new egg. |
