It's only the intro in the other parts of the game there are backgrounds 
as said gideon vwf can be really difficult to implement, i've spent 3 days on searching a place in ram that the game doesn't destroy 
and modified the code muuuuuch time, first i was doing all the process in ram passing the font to the VRAM, at this time it do all in VRAM and the code went highly simplified.
now i've fixed some other little things like the yes/no choose and the font in gb mode, when i finish the new patch i'll post it (question of hours)

Speaking from experience, VWFs can be a bitch to get properly working. Case in point:
A screenshot showing a working VWF where previously existed a fixed-width font is nothing to scoff at. I've since fixed that previous screen, mostly...
But it's got problems, it's extremely convoluted, it doesn't work in some parts of the game, and I'm at the point where I'm just going to toss most of it and start over from scratch. So, ev0! Grats on getting it working |

Did you guys miss the point? "megaman xtreme VWF edition!" If you don't know, VWF = variable width font. thats all he did to the game. thats all you needed to see, I opened up the patched rom, found the first text I seen, and took a snapshot.
