Excellent, but I wouldn't recomend it to anyone who isn't a fan of multiple anime/mangas that the game is based on. I've seen a lot of several of them (Bleach, Naruto, DBZ, YuGiOh, Kenshin, and I'm at least familiar with One Piece, Hikaru No Go, Shaman King, and Dr. Slump.) It's a superb multiplayer game, as well. Its single-card multiplayer is fairly good, which is great for us importers, but its a fair bit better when multiple people have the game. I'm about 25 hours into the game, and have almost everything unlocked. Consider, though, that I was reading a FAQ for every single mission, since the mission goals are normally entirely in japanese.
In comparison, I like Advance Wars DS more than JSS, but not by much.
Edit: Allow me to edit in my signature to more show off JSS. |

Advance Wars DS is a superb game. I put 87 hours into it before the game froze and erased my save. And now im another 15 hours back into it. I'm sad that I lost all my beautiful alternate outfits, but at least this gives me stuff to do in the game again. Though, Jump Super Stars showed up a few days ago, so now I'm playing that. |

Don't worry, dude. Just wait 'till all the super-awsome colors come out and the price comes down... Like the red DS or the pink one if your a girl. Silver is kind of blah, but the only (expensive) choice for early buyers.
When are those coming out! OMG I WANT PINK!!
I'll wait until the price comes down more and when more games come out to buy it. I'd rather have a good color than an fugly color with one game ..which would be Nintendogs |

I have played Nintendogs... about eight times in the time I have had it. Advance Wars... ummm... too many times to count.
I am only on mission 15, and am having a bit of a hard time with that one. Apparently, it involves distracting the enemy a lot. Great...
I like the team battles, though. Yeah, it is harder with one CO, but when playing with my friends, nothing is better than handing them their defeat by using Sami and Sonja. Using Sonja first, I wipe out all of their forces because they almost have no terrain defence. Then I load up an APC, move it close to their HQ, drop the infantry/mech, and then change to Sami, which I then capture their HQ in one fell swoop. They never see it coming, especially if it is from a transport copter.
Then there is the team of Jake and Sami. Jake kills the armored enemies with his tanks and then Sami wipes out all infantry with her own while stealing bases and cities from the enemy. And my friends suck at not realizing my powers and using their own powers to their extent (and if I say that Colin makes cheaper units but they are weaker and they complain about using him one more time...).
Well, one good thing is that my friends don't go all out with Neotanks anymore, but concentrate on Megatanks. Heh. They then wonder how I got their huge attack force down to 1HP. Gotta love the Black Bombs.
Yeah, I do find the campaign mode a bit too easy though. The only tough part for me so far was mission 9, and that was because it first introduced the secondary front and dropped bombs on the middle base. That was still easy, though. Once I figured out what to do...
So yeah, still need to play it more. I just play it at school and work. At school, I do Versus with my friends and do some of the campaign if I have the time to squeeze in a mission. At work, whatever I feel like. I should play it at home... |

Hey, that's just not true... Since when was that game fun?
Oh, and I beat normal campaign of awds woo
Haven't you tried swearing at him, Kyouji?
On topic... I've only got Nintendogs.
It's a pretty fun game, despite the fact that... uh, you can't give them multiple toys/accessories at once? I don't know of anything that's bothered me other than that... |

Acutally, they had "Hey you Pikachu" for the N64 that used a microphone, and that was basically it .

What is this easy way out you speak of?
Oh, and I'm on mission 28. I believe it to be the final mission. <3 the verbal pwning Von Bolt gives Jake before the mission |

I still maintain that Soloing missions beats the hell out of tag teaming. Makes the game a LOT harder. And man, that one mission where you're up against Jess and Javier at the same time.. Jeez, I didn't even realize the easy way out until the last second. One of TWO missions I've A'ed so far. Rest are S. |

That parrot, in my opinon, is worth half the game price in itself It seems like anything longer than a couple seconds gets the beginning cut off though, which isn't too surprising when you think about it
As for the thread discussion, I found my last free issue of Nintendo Power in the mailbox today, and although I haven't yet had a chance to look at it, there's a thing on the cover that says that they've included a 20 page (that might be the wrong number) "article" on Nintendogs. I'm going to look at that when I get home, and then possibly go up to EB Games to buy it. The only things that are keeping me from saying "I'm getting it as soon as possible are the fact that I've never really been interested in simulation games like this up until now, and that I don't want to look and feel like a fool talking to my DS
When it comes to Advance Wars DS, I tried playing the first one for GBA quite a while ago, and although I can't remember much about what it was like, it didn't seem all that much fun It can't hurt to take a look at this game though, so maybe I'll do that in a bit
As things stand now though, I'm thinking about getting Nintendogs, and still have to take a look at Advance Wars DS. Time will tell what happens |

It would've been cool if Advance Wars used the microphone somehow.

I have both titles, and they're both very impressive. Dual Strike is definitely the best Advance Wars yet. Tag Teaming is so fun (especially when ganging up 2 on 1!). A lot of the new vehicles are pretty cool. I like blasting people with Neotanks. So fun!
As for Nintendogs... best game of all time. It's so original. You actually get to SPEAK to your dog. Call it's name, give it voice trick commands, and more. There are disc catching competitions, obedience competitions, and agility competitions. There are tons of fun, neat toys, too. I can't seem to put the game down. TOO MUCH FUN! |

One or two of the Wars games were translated... you'd have to check The Whirlpool to see which ones.
They're still pretty complex though compared to the simplicity of AW. |
