Creating icons is easy enough. Personally, I use Iconforge, not because it's the best icon editing program or anything, but because it was the first one I ever used, and it works.

Yep, VB makes icons easy. Too bad you can only use .ico files, but if you browse around the Visual Studio folder, there's a ton of them in there somewhere.

Anyways, to answer your question, click once on the main form to bring up the properties for that form in the Properties panel. Go down to the property called 'Icon'. Select your icon. Go into the 'Project' menu, and click the project properties menu (it should have the name of your project). In the project properties dialog, go to the Make tab, and in the little box called 'Application' select your icon from one of the available forms in your project.
