Wow, no PS2 yet? I thought you'd own one .

We actually got a PS2 when it was $299.99 ..I think was the price even a year after they realesed it..or was it 199.99? I'm confused now..but yeah next time I'm going to wait out on the PS3 for at least 1 year or two depending on the games that are out on it..and how much money I've saved.

My sister wants an X-box now but I dunno..we can barely keep up on games for our PS2 and GameCube . If there are only a few good games I dunno..I still think even if I got one that'd I like PS2 over all of them.

I'll probably get a PS2 when the system's $99 after the PS3 is released or something like that. I like to be a generation behind when it comes to Sony I think.

I'd have to vote GameCube here by default since it's the only one of the big three I own.

I voted for the PS2 because it has the greatest library of games that I like to play regularly. I do enjoy our small GameCube collection and GBA Castlevania games played on the spiffy big TV with the GC adapter, but if I had to choose only one console for the house, I'd go with the PS2. I'd go nutzoid without the stress relief of Dynasty Warriors 5 and the silliness of the Katamari Damacy series. I'm aware that quite a bit of the PS2 games I like or are interested in playing more (DW series, Silent Hill series, GTA series) are eventually ported to the Xbox, but we don't have an Xbox and I like the PS2's exclusives better. Plus, it plays the entire Playstation library.

Hehe. I've got a Super Nintendo that's at least 10 years old. And it's never given me a single problem. I currently own a Gamecube, but I think there are better choices for gaming on PS2 and X-Box.

The Gamecube comes in second for me. A lot of the games amuse me in some kind of way. I have played a few Gamecube games at my cousins house since they've been fans of Nintendo for who knows how long.

The buttons kind of confuse me , it's probably because I haven't played much of it. I played X-Box at Best Buy and I didn't like the bulky controler at all. The graphics are pretty smooth but nah..Im good with the PS2 for the games and the controler that fits in my hands, aaand also for knowing the buttons pretty well.

Nintendo Gamecube. Great games for is and a simple button design. Super Mario Sunshine, PMTTYD, Sonic Adventure 2, it's all good.

Now I won Gamecube but my poor ass don't got any games for it besides some Winnie the Pooh and Pokemon games (not mine, my baby sisters) so that GC isn't working really good for me. I've always had the Playstation so it's PS2 for me.

For no reason at all (when your PS2 actually destroy your games and stop working.... )

I voted Gamecube, with PS2 being a CLOSE second. It probably would have gotten first place, if it hadn't been for a multitude of disc read errors. Besides, SSBM and "ZOMG RE4" more than justify it here.

I still say that once Nintendo introduces some kind of backwards compatibility outside of the Gameboy line, they will have a serious powerhouse of a machine on thier hands...

Console wise?
PS2: Big-ass LIbrary, many note worthy games, but most are incredibly hard, or quite rare. Good RPG library!

XBOX: Not many good games, but the ones that are good are really awesome. Halo, Halo 2, Serious Sam, Fable comes to mind... but that's about it. Best graphics, I believe. But big, and clunky.

GC: Medium library, but many of the games are of such awesome quality, you only need a small library, and the games won't make you empty your bank account (and neither will the console). Still, no DVD suppourt. But who cares?

Final Verdict:
XBOX: 3rd place
PS2: 2nd place
GC: 1st Place!

Handheld wise?
DS: Not a huge library, but $129 for the system ain't bad, and the few games that are out there are freakin' great. Kirby's Canvas Curse, Dynasty Warriors DS, Mario Kart DS, Puyo Pop Fever come to mind.

PSP: I paid 300 dollars for about 96(?) bit graphics, a UMD player and a 64MB memory stick? Also, the games aren't all that hot. But it IS getting Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories pretty oon, so that's neat. But that's all.

GBA: With a library like Pokemon RSE/FrLg, SMA (Series), Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Guardian Heroes Advance and the like, The GBA is still going strong with a plethora of awesome fucking games.

PSP: 3rd Place
DS: 1st Place (tie)
GBA: 1st Place (tie)

I own 4 systems on the poll, GBA, PS2, GC, and DS. I like playing them all. I use GBA for GB and GBC games only. I play the DS for GBA and DS games and wireless multiplayer pwns. I had the GC since it came out and it brings a lot of memories. PS2 had some of my favorite games like the GTA series and MGS3.

I'll have to think about it before I vote in the poll.

Hmm... I've enjoyed my Xbox the most (and if younger me could see me saying that, he'd be kicking me), but most games on Xbox that I've liked are available elsewhere; Tony Hawk's Underground/THUG2 are both an all three current-gen consoles, KotOR and KotOR 2 are available for PC, as are Morrowind and Doom 3...

No vote from me.. I play my N64 more than those three anyway.. and computer more than that (Diablo 2 has reclaimed me...). I'm also highly unqualified to comment on handhelds, as all I have is GBA.

Edits: Addendum, and correcting a word choice.

I feel Gamecube was yet another fiasco. I'd specificly like to put a lot of blame on Capcom and their "Capcom 5" project which ended up being more or less a big fuck you to Nintendo.

It was tough... a year ago, I'd have voted for the Gamecube without a second thought. But now, Nintendo's constant reign of terrible choices is making it fall quickly out of my favor... I still voted for it, but future polls may see a different response.

I don't really count the PSP as a current-gen console because of the future interactivity with the PS3. Its more of a mid-gen consle.

But really, the PSP is the most awsome of the bunch. It really took the portable gaming market, dominated by Nintendo (who else?), and showed everyone that a portable gaming device is much more capable of 32-bit color and overhead-view adventure games.

No vote.

I own a Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube (Dreamcast if it counts) and play them all reguraly. I think all of them have there ups and downs, so overall I just like them all.
