Yeah, but I only used that for like two jumps, the first chainsaw part (I think it was only 3) and the second (3). I realized - Grinder are really easy to Spin Jump on and follow - I made it to the midway point of that level no problem. But that's just me - if other people hate it, I'll delete the level altogether.

It's not unique. I made a level like that in my hack, Mariostrocity. And it wasn't cool then. Spin jumps like that suck, and as soon as somebody finds the address I'm going to remove spin jumps altogether. It's hard and spinning to avoid taking damage from spikes is a stupid concept altogether. Nintendo never should have implemented it.

I just finished making alevel which I think is pretty unique. You have to use grinders as your things to Spin Jump on to cross large gaps - the jumps start easy, but them, the path becomes more twisted, obstacles get in the way, and after the midway point, you have to use ON/OFF switches to control the path of the grinders you Spin Jump on, to cross pits.

I just was sitting here, and made that in a level. I don't think anyones ever made it before, so it's unique

You used that in the beginning of your hack, right SoNotNormal. I remember dying a lot when I didn't time a spin jump right.

My favorite type of level is the level that does more than what it is supposed to. Sure, you have Pipe Mazes and Ghost Houses, where puzzles can be confusing, but what about something... different?

I like levels that just are completley different from the rest. Levels that just use simple things and look and feel so awesome. Some ideas I have never seen but have come up with are such levels as the ones I am talking about.

Like there would be a level with some door. The doors would "flip" gravity, but would simply use exits to simulate this effect. Something like that would be interesting to see.

Or levels that involve changing the enviroment to pass it. A bridge on fire would be hard to get by, but enter a door, and walk the frozen bridge then.

Levels that just are different, and aren't too cliche are awesome.

I am different...

It was?

*looks through older threads*

I must have missed it.

Yeah, I left out typical, original levels, like forest, plains, stuff like that. By any cave, I mean with rips and such. But then, I left out a lot of stuff in this thread, because if I would've put every level type in, it would probably fill the page.

Where is the forest option. I voted for other meaning forest.

Also, this thread was done a while back.

Yeah, me too, thank you but it's really tough making it - I think I'll save this one for my last world, since it doesn't really suit a forest. But since I got it working, I'll leave the level there, in add it in later.

Ha, sounds pretty damn awsome, glad my post gave you such a great idea.

Well, the sprites aren't on layer two, so obviously, they won't "rise" with the level, and it will look very stupid and unrealistic if you just see sprites floating in one place. Remember, this isn't really gonna make a rising volcano, it will just look like it.

That is the level I'm currently working on (you can see in my siggy), and what I'm doing, is just having a huge maze. It's also a two-exit level, so if you want the secret exit, you need to carry a key from the bottom to the top of the volcano. I think this will work well - Ill post screenshots for you guys to see when I'm finished.

EDIT: Hmm, this may be a lot harder than I thought, for starters, layer 2 falls doesn't work. It doesn't fall at all. You just go into the level and nothing happens.
Is there any way to fix this?

i already suggested that. what happens if you try to use sprites?

For the volcano, put the lava on layer one, the level on layer 2, and use the layer 2 falls sprite. Layer 2 will fall downwards, simulating that the lava is rising! No sprites though

Hey, I just thought of something - is it possible you could have a layer 2 scrolling volcano? Like, where the lava is rising and you have to escape? Kinda like an eruption-thing. I think it would be cool to try.

Yea that is a pretty cool idea, but it would be pretty hard to make the lava rise with the screen. Perhaps you could shorten the levels time limit a bit and have a message block at the begging saying somthing along the lines of "Hurry the volcanos going to erupt [don't have time to look up proper spelling] in X amount of seconds."

Also, don't feel stupid for not including volcanos in your poll, after I made my post I realized volcanos could probly fit in the "any caves" catagory.

Edit: Ha, I'm such a dumb ass if the level is on auto scroll then a time limit is kind of pointless.

the lava could probably look as if it was rising if the level is on layer 2 and it sinks into lava on layer 1. i dunno if this would work with a vertical level though, i've never tried.

I voted other, because space levels aren't listed in there.

You just click on whatever type of level you prefer while you are sighned into the board, if it wont let you, then you probly already voted accidently and didn't realize it.
