Going from wireless network card to wireless network card isn't possible, AFAIK. It's like trying to go from a cell phone to another cell phone without a tower.

You're best off getting a router. Even if you CAN use the desktop to bridge the connections, you're going to be dealing with serious lag.

WinXP can bridge two network cards on the same machine...

You have to select to active network connections, right click on them, and select Bridge Connection.

Basically, I'm wondering if it's possible to connect to the internet like:

My laptop's network card -> my desktop's network card -> ethernet -> cable modem.

I haven't found any information regarding this. ;(
