I just got Ascendency yesterday, and I have been listening to it non stop. These guys are really great. I honestly had no idea this was their second album ... I got "Drowned and Torn Asunder" stuck in my head and then "Dying in Your Arms" so I went and got it. But my favorite would probably be, Pull Harder on the Strings of your Martyr, it has a nice rhythm to it. I like the whole album, which is really rare for me, so ROCK ON TRIVIUM! |

Yes, they've mixed it up more and have added alot more to their songs.
I dont like many songs on Ember To Inferno, but on Ascendancy I like every single one. Not too often I find one of those these days. |

They're pretty good. What I've heard of Ascendancy is a vast improvement from their first album. The trouble with Ember to Inferno is all of the songs follow the same formula and sound near identical. With their sophomore album, they seem to have mixed it up more, actually throwing in some variation. |

I haven't heard of them either and I usually listen to lots of mainstream stuff. I need to buy many CD's or at least d/l mi fave songs from those CD's so far..hmm.. |

Trivium has to be one of the best metal bands to enter the (somewhat) mainstream market recently.
Wondering if anyone else has been listening to them.
If not, get their CD Ascendancy I recommend a thousand times over. |
