Oh, now I see it. It seems to be appearing haphazardly. Time to fix that. I'll brighten the blue, and darken the black to make it easier to read. The picture was the logo for sm64 level editing, I did RAM stuff with a GS. With the mario picture... I might just change the pic, since I don't know where the original I used before converting with irfanview is.

I see a broken.. something. It's a link, but maybe you used image tags?
I'd also have to say that the dark blue on black is hard to read, but not impossible. The white pixels around mario are better than they were when this layout started, but they're still there. You could easily get rid of them if you took the time.
There are definitely worse layouts.

Setzer, I hate to tell you this but none of the images are broken. trust me, I wouldn't keep a broken image in my layout. The layout is easy to read for me, (does anyone else have that problem?), I like the colours, and except for some code tweaking, this layout is almost done.

what sucks about it? Well, there's nothing appealing about it, mario has white pixels all around his outline, one of your images are broken. It doesn't even work. You don't have much color sense. hard to read. and in general, it scores a 10 on the "dude this totally sucks" rating.

I was being sarcastic. I guess I'll keep the layout, but I'm definitely going to take your advice, since someone else HAS to know where I'm going wrong.

Just because your layout doesn't work with it doesn't mean it's bad.
Maybe you could ask for help from someone around here. It can't be that big of a problem.

Well, here goes my last try. I thought FF was supposed to be good or something...

OK, I redid the HTML again. If this doesn't work, then i'm only going to try one more thing. If that doesn't work either, then I'm going to go back to my old layout to avoid making my posts so huge.

I like what you have in mind, but you still haven't gotten it yet. I use Firefox, and the picture still appears above the text.

I changed around some of the coding for the layout, moving the position: relative into a span tag, in the hopes that it would work a little better. How is it now?

Setzer: Could you pleae be a little more precise about what sucks? If you can barely read it, check your moniter settings, it stands out quite well for me. I increased the opacity a bit anyways.

Eh. It sucks in FF, i tried IE, and it sucks even worse, I can barely read it. *Setzer shrugs and goes on his way

I'm using FF.

The post doesn't break the page, but I was under the impression that the image was supposed to go ABOVE the post layout. I'm guessing with IE it looks differently?

[checks this]

Oh I see...that is quite a bit of a difference. Yea the position: relative stuff that you have going in your profile doesn't do a lot of good in FF. It just obsoletes it with additional DIVs.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know why you see the image and I don't, though. Prier, do you use IE? The post layout works fine in IE, but with Firefox, apparently the post isn't moving up over the image. Anyways, the post doesn't break the page, right? That's what I'm most concerned about. I suppose I'm using a couple of IE-only tags, which means I'll need to add the corresponding Firefox tags.

I see the image in profile.php just fine.. it's just all stretched. But I don't think it's important, since it does not affect your posts.
I don't remember why I said it was lame. I must've been in a bad mood, I'm sorry.

Damn... I can't actually run Firefox, according to the minimum system requirements. Why do you say the layout looks lame, though? The profile page is strange, unlike on the rest of the pages on the board, in profile.php the image in my layout won't show up. If anyone knows which tag I could use to fix this, I'd really appreciate this.

Wow.. I tried to check it out in your profile, but that is seriously messed up. Good luck with this one.

No, it does not. Why don't you get Firefox yourself to be able to check your layout? I always check with both browsers.
It looks pretty lame in IE anyway.. both currently and in your link.

D'oh! when I went to hit Copy after updating the code, it didn't update correctly and the new tag didn't get put in! Des it work now?
