I thought about this a while ago, but I never used it.

This is good, but it counts towards the tile limit of the level unlike the regular backgrounds that don't. I don't know what the tile limit is, but I had around 1000-1500 tiles in one level and it wouldn't let me add any more (and thats NOT using this tip). It also results in slower loading times.

It is a good idea for smaller levels tho.

I just realised that it shortens the Layer 1 FG from 1F down to 0F pages, but in most cases it won't matter. This could also help if you want to put a single object in your background, such as a moon.

Oh wow, I like it, I needed that for my crazy coin background. Thanks p_acman, that was a great help

Some of you may have noticed that the backgrounds in SMAS SMB1 are much longer than those in other games. This is because those BGs are on FG Layer 2. To do this in your SMW hack, do the following: 1. Open Change Properties in Header Dialog, and change the level mode from 0 to 1. 2. Open the map16 page containing the tiles for the BG. Press F2 to save it to file, then go to a blank page between 0 and F, and press F3 to load the page. 3. Hit the layer 2 Editing Mode button, open the add Objects window and insert the BG tiles on Layer 2, and the background can be up to 1F pages long, not just 2. Hope this helps.
