Well... I know its a bump from page four I think... but... some screens from the full version that's still being worked on.... how long as it been since I released that demo? Three peices of eye candy.

~Forte Shrine~ Respect the artwork please, thanks. Took awhile to match the colors perfectly just by looking at the image. The EXE 5 version (seen on the left of the image) is unfinished but it'll be in a few seconds here on my computer. Since the last one had alot (look for it at the ExGFX thread, final page of the thread), and the only way of fitting it all in was by extreme ASM hacking... I decided just two was enough. Be grateful in the final release that I...

(Cosmo: Dr. Rip Studwell.... I mean Forte.EXE) ... will help you in your quest in only two apperances with some "help". Heh heh heh...

New Star World... the "pressed" switches are the new Star Road teleporters. Reason why is our Main Baddie for the game's series switched the classic Star Roads with technology... I'll have to rethink that part later. The ruins seen below in the pic is Ancient City (FF7 reference), and the Bowser cave is where Wario stores all his treasure, unlocked of course...

Well... not the best Inter-Dimensional Warship you've seen in the Shadow Realm... but I use what I can with some edited GFX. Its the back view of the ship. The front is not accessible, unless you use inter-warp holes. I have some open suggestions of three other worm holes to another level, as one is occupyed with Metroid Prime. All I need is: What favorite game series should I use that's popular in today's changing game industry.

That's all... for some reason, when I take screenshots with the ZSNES, it doesn't save the png images to the specified folder so I snapped them using

[Ctrl]

[Print Scrn]
[SysRq]

combo on Lunar Magic. So whatcha think so far guys? Yeah... once the full version is finally finished and released, I'll use this thread.

Maybe its just me, but the thread seems to be lacking screenshots. I don't like downloading something that I have no idea what it looks like....

Did you rip that BG yourself? It's got - waterfalls, animated, and everything? I tried getting it, but mine wouldn't animate
I ripped I think (I was the only one who could rip it) it is at the ice board

LOL too late - can you say big pointless wall in the way? I looked for that BG on the Ice Board, couldn't find it, which offends me, but I'll keep looking. Good job on your demo too, it looks great so far, other then the problems I mentioned, it's great - especially Botanical Gardens

Yeah, it's finished on the final release one. It's supposed to be an easy "normal" exit.... the secret, well.... you'll have to go the opposite way for the secret. But don't try that in the demo.

Sorry

Oh by the way, in Mythril Mines 1, I wouldn't put the goal point so close to where you start - the player could easily keep on getting 100 points and get unlimited bonus games . . which ends up in unlimited lives - now imagine that on the SNES - the land without save states - the game would be too easy.

... ::Coughs:: ... I think that little art captures what my face looked like when I read your post. OTHER than that... SNN, I think the BG your talking about, it's on the Ice Board if you want it that is... I'm pretty sure it was made from smwedit...

Nah, that's not a glitch... it was a Shyguy Bomb... It's the Bom-omb sprites with Extended Animation...

Speaking of a glitch, I saw a minor one with an enemy in the castle 1. I jumped on a shyguy in one of the rooms and the color looked weird after I jumped on it.

Well, for those of who were able to get the file to work, I say the demo is a good one. I wanted to first have just six levels (including Yoshi's home), but then I just kept the beta levels for the extras on Donut Plains just for fun. This hack is a continuation of Super Mario Universe BTW for those who didn't know about it.

The OW looks sorta plain, but in the final release, it will be much better, as well as a few more cameo apperances from other gaming universes...

Also keep in mind that this is taking place in the tropics, which is a bit advanced in basic technology than Dinosaur Land...

Aparent from the glitches, I've alrteady dealt with them in my final release, though I won't be working as much since I'm already in college... x.x

And bringing Yoshi into the first Lookout Tower would be a bad part on your guys' case, since there's castle based enemies, it doesn't support yoshi's tounge sprite which makes it a bit... weird.

Apart a few glitches there are some nice ideas. But there are no-nos, like a message box in a level with layer 3 water - we know what happens if you bump the box
Also the Yellow Gold level apearrance on the overworld is weird. On the world map it first showed no level tile along the path, then I didn't decide to go there after finishing the level left from Yoshi's House.
I entered Yoshi's House or the right level, I got out and suddenly the Yellow Swithc Palace tile was in its right place

I liked the castle - it was very short and not too hard, but the usage of SMAS SMB2 tiles was just too good. I didn'T got around to play the extra levels, but apart from some glitches it has some nice level ideas.

It works for me, pretty good game, Forte.EXE. I just got done finishing a few extra levels after the first castle.

Now it works Nice job so far, few glitches though.

In the Yellow Gold, when you get the hit one of the blocks near the end, a bunch of brown used-blocks appear out of nowhere.

In Lookout Tower #1, if you go through the first door with Yoshi, the bottom half of his sprite gets cut off.

Other than that, great job

Hmm... it's misaligned... It doesn't work once the patch is pasted onto a blank ROM MC...
