Nose? Oh yeah, he's not supposed to have a nose. That's cause his face is kinda rounded at that angle. It does sorta look like a nose. Hmm. I'll see if I can fix that.

his nose is like.. gone.. and then it's back.

it's about time we had original sprites. i'm sick of megaman edits or look alikes or something. He looks like someone you would find in a game. Great.

You know, he started out being in the same place when he walked. But it looked a lot weirder... 'cause his legs moved without the rest of him moving.

It would probably be best if I made him go up and down, but that would involve editing them again, heh.

i think he needs to be more in the same place when he walks, cause it looks sorta funny.

Hehe, that's cool. I like the whole 'scratching-his-head' thing! And the SHOCKED eyes XD Cool.

Okay, it took a while to get the right mix of "directions" to make the walking look good. Animating the two walking frames from the same row make him look like he's stiffly marching. Anyway, I hope your browser plays this at the same speed mine does, because it took a while to get all the frame delays right and it looked pretty weird when they weren't.

Again, it's doubled to see it more easily. For both this and the spritesheet above, I doubled them with html, so if you want to see the normal size, just view the image by itself.

Paint isn't that bad, You can design everything in there, but in the end its better to use photoshop (damn i wish I had that!). Zoom does wonders!

Anyway, excellent sprites. I hope you do animate them soon! I was going to try to buttt... it would take too long, since it's one whole image which you would have to cut up..

I didn't think that you would use a simple program like paint
Usually when i see images people have done, i always think they use complicated programs... like photoshop, flash, fireworks etc etc...

I made the first one (leftmost third row) in Paint, then I switched to Photoshop.... I didn't need the extra tools, but keyboard shortcuts are massively useful. Plus more than four levels of zoom.

I was going to mention if it was Colin
But was confused so kept my mouth shut
What program did you do the image in?

Oh, forgot to mention that. Well, at least you didn't guess Colin, because it's NOT him. It's me. MY name is Colin. Dammit.

Yeah.

Double-sized for easy viewing. I actually made these several months ago... I'm not sure how the "walk" looks animated, since I haven't tried it.

Made completely from scratch. 16x32, nine colors including transparent. I guess I could eliminate a color and get eight, but that would take some effort.. They're Colin3 because I've had two ill-fated sprite attempts before this one. One was a megaman edit with glasses drawn on at a higher resolution, which defeated the purpose. The second was somewhat from scratch, and the glasses were actually part of the sprite, but it looked like shit. This one I was like, hey, why have glasses? They're just annoying. Plus it's kind of a different "style" or some bullshit like that.
