Actually it has to do with blocks from block tool, and LM's animation feature. It doesn't have anything to do with layer 2 unless you place the blocks on that layer.

1) Insert the two blocks from blocktool that's solid/passable depending on the On/Off switch
2) Use the extended animation frames window to make graphics which changes depending on the On/Off switch.
3) Make the inserted blocks use the special graphics
4) Build the level

In a few hacks I've seen, when the ON/OFF block is hit, it doesn't cause lines to change, or stuff to stop rising and falling, no. Instead, it makes blocks vanish and reappear. For example, there in an ON/OFF switch in front of brown blocks blocking your path. When you hit it, the blocks vanish, but if you were to hit it again, the blocks would come back. How do you do that? I know it has something to do with layer 2, but I can't get it.
