I'm going to reserve my judgement for the Transformers movie because Michael Bay is a hack.

All I have to say it's probably going to suck unless they do it right. Same with Transformers.

*phew*

Glad to see I wasn't thinking things up.

But yeah, Voltron back in the day, rocked. I should probably check out the newer ones.

...No, you're wrong again. The original Voltron series(with the five lions) was known as Go Lion in Japan. Then "Vehicle Voltron" was actually a show called Dairugger.

Hell no. I just went there to check the japanse title. I don't even go there very often.

Turns out I was wrong though. While it was made by editting together two other series, their japanese titles were Voltron and Voltron III. Though I was technically right about the american version never being a series in japan.

You're actually wrong there.

The original Voltron, or Go(Five) Lion, I should say, was one TV series in Japan. The others are different series as well.(Vehicle Voltron - Dairugger) And yes, Go Lion, and Voltron for that matter, is anime.

You can't really change around edit sentai super robot shows like go lion the same way you can with macross. However, you CAN split one sentai show into three. (Gatchaman-G Force, Eagle Riders, and Battle of the Planets)

... is it me or am I completely lost by the two posts above this?

I could have sworn Voltron was an anime, that had 4-5 Lion Mech's that eventually could fuse into one and create a more humanoid machine, and they fought in space and stuff ...

Uh, seriously those two posts have me completely lost. I'm pretty sure Voltron doesn't have any relation to Transformers at all either.

What did you expect from trapster.. ? As for transformers, I'm surprised it hasn't died yet x_X. I'm also pretty sure it's not called Voltron at all, that's just the dub name .

Yeah, I've known about the Transformers deal for awhile. When I heard Micheal Bay is going to be directing it, I knew it'll be something I've been waiting for for years.

Voltron now too? That show rocked, back in the day I watched it over Thundercats and whatnot anyday.

Rejoice! Or fear (as they may well destroy it)

Voltron is coming to the big screen... o.o (And Transformers apparently too according to the end of the article)

o.o

Now I want to find the original anime sooooooooooo bad.

EDIT: Odd, it says in the article that Voltron is the 'second' giant robot movie being developed, but I'm pretty sure it'd be the third... isn't there a live-action Evangelion in the works too?
