Windowing is a particular form of HDMA that only displays a part of the screen, while cutting off the rest (hence the blackness outside of the circle). |

First off, you still should've chosen a better title for this thread. "wow, this sucks" encompasses just about every single problem you could conceivably run into while hacking SMW.
Second, you could've said just that in your first post. It's really not that hard to explain. But anyway, that's an HDMA effect (what is it doing, just turning off the screen?), and probably wouldn't be *too* hard to disable. Don't ask me how, though...I haven't touched that part of the code in a long time.  |

First off, I say this sucks because it ruins my title screen. Second off, I mean that circle thing after the nintendo introduction.

The Nintendo Presents coin sound is at $15C1. Replace the three addresses after that with EA to disable the sound. |

You mean you want to lose the file select screen and make it go from Nintendo Presents to the Story level? Why would you want to do that?
And what does the title screen have to do with "wow this sucks"? |
