So I've got an Excel file that I use for work. It has damn near everything I'd need to know about a variety of schools, like their mascots, driving directions (Mapquest, Google, AND Yahoo), etc. Well, I'm gonna share this with the other papers in the company, and I want to know how to set it up so people can add directions to other sites themselves.
Why's this a problem? Can't they just type it in?
I'm counting on them not being as geeky as me. So it wouldn't occur to them to copy the row above, paste it in, and change what needs to be changed in the links to the driving directions.
Here's a typical row.
The last two columns are time and distance.
So. What I want to do is have it pop up a bunch of input boxes, asking for everything. Name of field/facility, street address, city (they're all in the same state), zip code. It'll fill in everything it can, formatted properly, except time and distance. That you've gotta do manually, unless someone can find a way to get that off the page (which I SORELY doubt is doable). |
