from the looks of it...it seems fairly complicated to just install those two guys...so if you really want it, install the SDK (the 68 mb download)...then you could probably frag the directory that is created in program files...

after I submitted this, i found this: https://blogs.msdn.com/robertbrown/archive/2005/04/21/410561.aspx

Thanks for the link! I downloaded the Mike and Mary file, but I am at a loss of where to put them so it shows up under Speech in control panel.

Does anyone know?

the only places I know of where to get more of those voices is from Microsoft. Even then, you don't get a lot more--you just get three more other than Microsoft Sam... However, I think Mike and Mary a little more natural sounding.

If you go into your control panel, then click on Speech and hit the 'Text-To-Speech' tab, you'll notice that you can have the computer talk to you!

I'm sure you all knew that, just giving you guys some background to work with.
I am wanting MORE voices to use for the Text-To-Speech thing. Currently, listening to those droning voices while reading to me using Microsoft Reader (No, I'm not blind! I just to lazy to read!).

Anyone know of any sites to download Text-To-Speech voices for your system?
Many thanks!
