Hey, same here! Works like a charm, doesn't it? And its back/forward buttons are compatible with Microsoft's IntelliMouse driver (so I didn't have to install Logitech's software).

I used a Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical for several years, and absolutely loved it. The first one I had was a little jumpy, and sometimes shot the mouse cursor across the screen for no reason, but I upgraded to a newer hardware revision and had no problems whatsoever...that is, until the left button started wearing out (like the two Microsoft mice I had before it ). Unable to find an (apparently discontinued?) IntelliMouse Optical anywhere, I decided to try a wireless IntelliMouse Explorer, since it was on sale, and had a nice ergonomic feel. However, it wasn't long before I returned it, since the mouse just...didn't behave like I expected it to. It's kinda hard to explain, but it seemed too "fluid," and made the cursor float around a lot. I kept missing stuff I wanted to click, and I couldn't get the orientation right. The idea of changing batteries every so often (no off switch?!) didn't appeal much to me, either. So, having used--and been rather pleased with--Logitech mice in the past, I bought my current wired MX310, and I couldn't be happier.

Trapster, this thread is about wireless LASER mice. The MX310 is not a LASER mouse.

Yeah, i don't get the point of wirless mice and keyboards, considering taking out of the range of cords is taking it too far away to be able to really see the screen that well. I guess less cord clutter could be good, but honestly, if you set up your computer right you only have two or three cords on your desk which doesn't really get in the way of anything. Oh well, there are somethings i just don't understand.

I know someone that has a fully functioning wireless laser mouse. It works like a charm. She also has a wireless keyboard. They are both made by Dell. Do your research before buying wireless though, because you could end up having one that drains batteries and has horrible censors, much like Paraplayer's experience. Haha!

Less cable clutter.

I've never liked trackballs.... I don't like my touchpad on my Mac all that much either (I think it may be contributing to RSI slightly), and I really hate those nipple things on older laptops.

I like my optical mouse. My old mouse just got dirty way too often. Hmm... and I've just realised I've had my optical mouse for at least four years now... scary o.o

No trackball will ever replace a scroll wheel. Plus, some trackballs really suck.

Mine's a Nexxtech and yeah, it sucks. Crud keeps getting in the eye. The old one I had was good, it had a cover, but it broke.

I got my brother a lazer mouse for his birthday but he got a better one from someone else so he gave the one i got him to me. Its wireless and a lazer mouse! i must be the luckiest little koopa troop ever!!!

unng... so very wrong.....

it goes through two batteries every 2 weeks.
So what do they do to cut down the battery usage?
it turns off if you dont use it for 3 seconds..
and no thats not configurable.

whats worse is that the mouse pointer on the screen is jumpy now.

So what was the point in this topic? It has a lesson

If your going to buy a wireless lazer mouse make sure it doesn't suck.

(whats so great about lazer mice anyways? Hasn't anyone just tried cleaning their normal mice?)
