Thanks for the ROM name, I was going to try Rockman Megaworld in PGen the other day but figured it'd be the same. |

Wily Wars does indeed have a saving problem. One version of Rockman Megaworld doesn't though (Rockman Megaworld (J) [a1][!].bin), and saves just fine. It is also NTSC, and runs faster. The only problem is a little japanese text here and there, but it's not much to worry about.
I've never had a problem saving with any other rom though, so maybe it's your version of Gens. I'm using Gens Plus (which is an older Gens version, but with Game Gear / Master System support), and saving works fine. |

Mega Man: The Wily Wars has known save issues, it's a problem with the ROM itself not the emulator from what I gather. The emulator thinks the ROM doesn't have SRAM for some reason, it's better on others but none I've tried actually work right. For example, Gens saves after you beat a boss, and that boss' picture is blacked out, other emulators don't even get this far. |

I've been having that same problem in Mega Man for what seems like years now. Looks like an emulator called Ages will save properly in it. I had to beat a boss while typing this post to find out. Never had trouble getting Sonic or any other game to save in Gens though. Try more emulators, it can often help. |

It seems that on some ROMS trhat are supposed to have a Battery Backup (like Micromachines '96 and SOnic 3). Gens isn't autosaving like it should do, meaning I have to manually save the state every time, which is a pain. Do other Emu's not have this problem? Or is there a way to turn on this option in Gens? |
