I'm finally going to do this. I think this is probally the most windows I've had open for hacking (a SNES game anyway). Notice that SMILE isn't even open.

Super Metroid Hacking

Ignore some of the notes in the notepad, I realized part of it was incorrect this morning.

EDIT: Just copy and paste this instead. I forgot that geocities doesn't allow doing something like that either.

I usually just have the editor open for the game I'm playing. For some reason, I can't stand having several windows open at the same time.

I know, I know. I'm too lazy to change it right now though... maybe if I think it starts getting repugnant then I'll change it.

Yep... all these windows right now... and I'm not even actually hacking the game yet. Here is a pic of my desktop when finding/toying with data in Kirby Adventure, talking on mIRC, and posting at Ace's all at once... now, imagine when I start HACKING this game how many more windows will be open.

Desktop Hell

Granted, DD's is far worse, but... mine would be worse if I was getting into the serious hacking stuff on my game right now.

Also, it should be noted that in those notes, I discarded all the effects from my notes that didn't give abilities, because they were just too glitchy. So... those notes are outdated... But you got a free byte to explore if you wish.

All these windows just to get the pretty picture you see in the emulator screen.

Right now, without counting this window, I have 7 windows open.

I don't have a picture, but I try to keep as little programs open as possible. Usually, I'd have Internet Explorer, a Hex Editor, an Emulator, Calculator, Windows Media Player, and two to five documents open.

Why do you need Windows Media Player?

I usually either listen to something while I hack or I forget to close it.

If Wordpad can be added to that and Hexposeure too, no, you aren't.

I did until I started writing my own.

Unrealscript. Deus Ex to be precise.
I figured the Unreal icon in the main part of the tree view would've given that away.

And Kawa's desktop is actually quite plain it seems. Although one must wonder what's under it.

For anyone who cares mine recently changed to reflect the layout I have [all red]... still using the Press Start K font [r0x0r] with the giant-ass "404" in the middle of a 300000 BG color.

My desktop sucks. I just like the windows
