I remember when i first played SMRPG that i got stuck in Marrymore, because i didn't know where to go or whom to talk. Then i begun to READ the texts to know what were trying to say to get the idea and after a year that i dropped the game, I knew that i had to talk to the 'grandpa' (the older frog) to tell that the other star (i think it was the 4th, the purple one) was in star hill, so when i saw the map, i could go to the left (i was so excited to be able to continue ). Then i begun to understand that u must read the storyline, not only gaining levels.

Most of the RPG's I've played were pretty easy for me. The first one I played wasn't too long ago. I can't beat them in a matter of a few days though. Back then, it took me a few weeks to but now it takes me even mroe time because I have gaps between where I don't play any games. The only reason why an RPG would be hard for me is because I didn't level up enough then I have to go back and do that. I don't think I've played enough of them to beat them in such little time or have that time like I did earlier.

RPG's are only easy because you know what to do and what strategies to use during boss battles... so that's why you mix it up and give yourself some added challenge by not levelling as much/etc.

Usually RPGs and stuff are shit easy once you've beaten them the first time. Unless its something like Seiken Densetsu 3, where you need to play it a gazillion times to beat it with every possible party. I think I have improved over the years with gaming, but of course, this is due to playing a lot of games

There are very few games I can wait 6 months, go back to, and then still find hard. In fact, I can't think of any off the top of my head. It's probably a RTS or something. Games that are for the thinking gamer I love those. When you forget how to play the puzzle game Tetris Attack, I guess that can be fun again. I really like Total Annihilation, but this is basically a continously modded game now, and the mods are for multiplayer purposes. Multiplayer games are always better. Single player games are the ones you beat once and can never play again unless you like ease.

Did that make ANY sense? Yea, its late.

I still have smrpg. I play that game alot because they have so much hidden stuff.
Only recently did I find the Great Guy's Casino. It was't as fun as I thought it would be.
RPG's are always hard because of all the little hidden stuff you have to find in there.

True, I mention earlier that SMRPG was hard for me as a kid but now that I'm older, it's much easier. Also FFVII is another example, I finally beat Emerald Weapon, not Ruby Weapon yet about couple of years ago. I couldn't do that as a kid because I didn't even understand how to make a Gold Chocobo.

It actually only took me 2 or 3 days to beat Super Mario Land, actually. XD And this was when the GB first came out too.

Still ended up playing it long after that because of my obsession with high scores.

Mortal Kombat used to be hard for me, I thought, "I can't beat the computer after the first guy! It's too hard!". Once you figure out more about the game you can beat it in your sleep.

Oh yeah, that was one nice game even if it only had 12 levels. I remember finally beating it. Good times. And yes, it was certainly a lot harder a few years ago.

Ahh... Super Mario Land
I haven't heard that in a few eons. I can relate to that game. When I was young I played that game thinking it was hard as hell. I haven't played it recently since I lost it, but I'll assume it's easy now.

I've always sucked at video games. \

But at least I'm better than my dad.

I recently stumbled into an old game, anyone remember Super Mario Land? Here's the story, my mom is planning to have a garage sale this coming Saturday and looking for crap to sell. This story takes place last Saturday. Anywa, I asked here what the hell are you doing because I didn't know at that time. After I was done talking to her, a saw a Game Boy cartridge. I haven't seen one of those in ages so I took a look to see what game it was and sure enough it was SML. I rushed to play it on my GBA because I haven't played it scene before the Y2K crap. I thought it was be hard because it was for me when I was younger but it was easy.
I had over 320,000 points and 14 lives or so at the end of World 4, something that I didn't see coming. Wow, Tantaga was such a joke because he was pwned by small Mario and avoiding his attacks were just so easy.

I actually noticed that too. I seem to have got worse at certain games. Maybe I'm just not playing them enough. Like I used to be able to smoke Wizpig in the second race in Diddy Kong Racing (oddly enough, not the first; I could beat it, but not totally kick his ass), but now I can barely beat him. I suppose it's because back then I played the hell out of it and practiced that level for days, then go back to it after not playing much and not playing that level at all.

I sucked at video games when I was 6. I still suck at video games, but to a slightly lesser extent. I used to find beating SMB3 really hard. Now I just find it hard. I used to think Gargoyle's Quest was the hardest game ever. Now I've finally beaten it, and it has been replaced with...actually, I can't think of any, so it still stands as the hardest game ever. But I beat it, damnit.

So, uh, yeah. I suck.

I can say however, my "look" on games has changed.

I played Link to the Past a lot when I was young, about 5-7 years old. Thing is though, I never owned it (up until a few years ago). I'd always rent the game and have to start over from the beginning.

But it was weird, when I'd play the game, I felt like I was in this huge gigantic world that went on forever, and I almost felt like I was there.

Random, but yeah, I just felt like saying that.

Yeah, SMB3 was pretty hard when I first played it. Usually World 5 and up were the ones that were hard for me. If I'm lucky enough to make it to the boss of the world usually Roy and Ludwig were the ones that I died on because of their power. I never made it to Bowser when I was little but somehow made it to World 8 but got stuck in the fortress because it was confusing. As of today, I have no problem getting pass any of the levels because I played them too many times.

I think it has to do with increased control over basic motor functions. As a child, I couldn't beat the first level of Bionic Commando, much less figure out how to use the damn communicator. Today, I can breeze through it in a scant hour or two.
