Im still not liking the changes.

NP was DIFFERENT before the changes. Thats why I liked it. Thats what pushed me to get it for 4 years straight.

Now its just... typical... theres nothing special about it. It lost its charm.

I like all the game mags i've read. Each are quiet interesting. Best was probs playstation world (something of the sort). It had pure reviews and posters and the likes. I even like the officail playstation mags. It pretty good stuff. However i don't have a wrost mag as it like all the ones i read.

I think the redesign of Nintendo Power was a great thing. Back before they changed, it was like all pictures and no information. With the new design its a perfect balance of pictures and text... So NP rules all!

I actually have to disagree with you I think that the new Nintendo Power is much better than what has been.

Something called Superplay used to be good, then it apparently got worse when a few people on that magazine resigned. It's a Swedish magazine and well.. there were thoose magical numbers with alot of candy at times. That I read over and over again. :/

And oh, the offical Nintendo Magazine here isn't that bad. Still, I wouldn't say it is good. I'm mostly becuse a member becuse of the extras.

I used to love GamePro... back in the NES/SNES days where sometimes you'd have 50-60 reviews an issue. At least.

NP is good but I haven't looked at it in a good 3 years.

NP is nice, but I stopped getting it a while ago because the Interweb tells me all I need to know about games.

I like Nintendo Power, it keeps me updated for games on the Nintendo systems like the Gamecube, Nintendo DS, and the Game Boy Advance. I have all those systems of course. I recently got a 12 free issues of Nintendo Power at Game Crazy for getting an MVP card. As for Gamepro, I might go Gamestop and subscribe for it.

As for the worst, I say PSM. It doesn't interest me one bit. The article on the games are boring and rarely show any games that I like.

EGM still ranks rather high with me, as does Game Informer.

I still forward to getting them in the mail every month. While I do tend to enjoy EGM a tad more, you just can't beat the price of GI with the Gamestop alliance...

I got so sick of EGM, it's incredible.

Game Informer usually has some good News tidbits here and there, and when you can get 10 issues for $5 (curtosey the Gamestop's around here), it's not that bad of a deal.

Personally I prefer Gamepro, they cover more than most magazines, and include PC gaming.

Overall though, I can easily get just as much news and info by going to ign, or gamespy in a few clicks.

As for the bad magazines, most of them are. But the ones that I hate the most would be Nintendo Power (oh trust me, Nintendo Power was good, now they're way too biased and there articles aren't even interesting), and PSM. PSM is just shit.

I used to love EGM back in the day... you know, when 300-400 page issues were the norm around the holiday season.

Actually, virtually any Christmas issue of any game magazine was usually awesome. So much info/pictures for so little...

The stuff in EGM amuses me, though, which is better than I can say for every other gaming magazine.

what do you think are the best and worst gaming magazines out right now?

from the magazines ive read, i would have to say that Game Informer is the best, and eletronic gaming monthly ties wiht OXM.

I like game informer because they dont hype up a game like crazy(with the exceptions of a few games) and they give honest reviews compared to OXM, and EGM, which basically bashes the game, and dosent really talk about why the game sucked.

EGM is a waste of time. I get my issue at the end of the month, and by that time, i've basicly read all that there is to read about games thanks to G.I., and the internet. They are also somewhat hypocritic about the games. they always say, the graphics dont matter if the story and gameplay are good. But then they talked about how horrible the new fire emblem looked.

OXM Sucks i cant say why, the writing i guess. The only redeeming quality that magazine has is the demo disc. Oh, and they fact that they have more ads than actual reading material too.
