If you want to upload a patch, you should put it in a Zip file, or just change the .ips to .txt.

Did that, didn't work checked all my events over, and event 7 is supposed to trigger that path to light up but it doesn't will post an IPS so you guys can see the problem yourselves - although you're gonna have to beat about 5 levels before that to make it there

EDIT: Argh, no matter what name I choose, stupid geocities keeps on saying "Invalid filename" . . oh well, I don't know what I'm gonna do about this, nothing else I can think of

DOUBLE EDIT: Could it be something to do with my two-way exit right before? Maybe I did the events wrong - I know the secret exit is the event # + 1, and I did that right . . hmm.

TRIPLE EDIT: Ok, I found another mistake. Look at this . .

Look closely. After I beat the level before Hooktail Trail, the path NEXT to it lights up. That is, the path leading to the castle lights up, which it shouldn't do until I beat Hooktail trail. My events are in the right order though so it shouldn't. My OW in that area is really screwed up, no clue what I should do now

Half the time with problems like this, it's just a simple problem with 2 tiles revealing or making the same event happen. Just do all your events, go back to this one, and make it what it's susposed to be. That always works for me.

Hopefully you can get this figured out.

How about posting an IPS patch?
That way we can examine the problem much better.

Lets see......Click on the Layer 2 event editor mode and start at event 0 (look at the bottom). Then press page up untill you get to the path that won't open when you pass that level and make sure that the event number on the bottom matches your"event to activate when pass this level" setting. Thats all I can think of....

Yes. All of them are correct. I can MOVE to the next level just fine, but the red tile itself doesnt light up and nor does the path. And I've done it fine for all my other levels, but I think I've tried everything and it just won't work

Here is a picture of my problem. The path didn't light up, nor did the tile, but I have been doing it the same way for the rest of them.

Anyone know? Can't continue with hack until it's solved

Check these again:
Ctrl + Right-Click on the level tile, and
(+) Did you set the Overworld Paths for it?
(+) Is the "Direction to enable when a **** exit is used" setting correct?
(+) Is the "Reveal this level tile on any of these events" setting correct?

Make sure that the event to the previous level and the event that the next level is activated by matches. That's all I can think that is wrong.

There must be a glitch in my hack or something. For 6 levels, after I beat a level, my paths light up and I move on fine. But I got to one level, where after I beat it, nothing lights up. It just moves me to the left, and says the name of the level at the top, but the level itself doesn't light up, and nor do the paths. It's like nothing even changes. I've tried for two hours straight, but didn't want to post after my large amount of posts already today, but got too frustrated to hold it off. So, what has happened to this? I tried using different events, and everything, but nothing works
