I got it working - made the level side exit enabled, and it works great. Thanks fort the help everyone - haven't tried the 3-up moon +goal post yet but I plan to

Eh. Well, that 3up block thing is supposed to exit the level by the same way a ? mark sphere does. So it might work after all.

You can use the ? sphere if the level is vertical.

Oh well. Well, if anybody still wants it, here is the combination 3up and goal block I made. Since I haven't tested it there is a chance that it won't work right. So, for the love of ROM, make a backup.

In order for it to work right you have to set its setting to coin block and all offsets to -1 except for Below which you set to 0.

I think. Since I haven't tested it I'm not sure.

3 up + goal block

Also, it doesn't do that sprite thing where it says "3up". But it plays the music and all.

Hey, I have never tested this, but theoritically it would work.

you can't use a goal in the bonus level because instead of going back to the overworld, you'll just reenter the bonus level, even if you use the ? ball, kind of like if you try to use a goal in the intro level. you have to get mario out of the level without the using a goal, like in yoshi's house.

There is a thing called the "3-UP Block" in BlockTool.
If you know ASM, you can edit it to trigger the goal routine.
(Sorry, but I don't know how)
Then, make the block look like a moon and...
POOF! You've got an 3-UP goal moon.

You can turn the current bonus stage into something in-level, you just have to:
-Copy the stage to one of the blank level slots
-Make a pipe that leads out at the bottom
-Set the stage exit to go back to the level, in your favorite way
-The level with this stage should have a ? ball in place of the normal goal post! Or else the game will "lock up" if you get enough stars at the end to go BACK into one of these stages...

What's cool about this is that if you play it once, you can't go back to harvest lives.

make the level side exit enabled, just make sure you delete the boxes used for the bonus game or it won't work. also, don't let there be anyway for mario to die or you'll see some garbage before you return to the overworld.

I've seen a few people make a custom bonus room. Well, I gave it a go, and made a bonus room with lots of coin boxes and obstacles - not ones that can kill you - just a few puzzles here and there. At the very end, I put a 3-up moon, and when the player gets that, I want the level to end like the original bonus level. How would I do this? I know on the original you grab the last life that comes out of the pipe to end it, but how would I end this one?
