Seriously though, OoT. Everyone whines about how it is over-rated this or that. It was the only one that I've beaten a bajillion times. It is the only one to have held my interest, and most of all it was the first game that actually made me feel happy and want to be there. In fact, it is probably the only game ever to have done that. I mean, Jeez, the Garudo Valley theme is probably my favourite ditty from any vidja game. |

1. Link to the past. First Zelda game i ever played. I finished it hundreds of times. i know it inside out. Well designed world map and great music.
2. Ocarina of Time. Nice addition of new places like Gerudo Valley, the music there was really cool! I liked the way there were loads of old places like Lake Hylia, Kakariko Village, and Death Mountain. Some good new music, but the Hyrule Field music was terrible, they should've just used the old one like in MM.
3. Majora's Mask. A nicely designed map, maybe a bit small though, amazing storyline, great music, and lots of classic elements from OoT and LTTP.
4. Oracle of Seasons. Fun and exciting.
5. Oracle of Ages. Fun, and interesting.
6. Link's Awakening. Good storyline.
7. Wind Waker. Boring.
8. Legend Of Zelda. 90 degrees?
9. Adventure of Link. Yuck! |

Nope. I would always lose the Sphere-like thing.
I totally did that (Specifically, I got it stuck in a corner), and I never went back to the game after that.
And it was actually level 4, I think, that you could get screwed on.

Yoshi Dude: Meh, I loved MM. The one thing that did annoy me (and only one of the biggest things in the game!) was the time. I've only beaten the game completely through once, and it was fun. But, I think if it didn't have a time limit to the end of the world, it would be more fun. I don't think time limits or things that force you to do things in a game make them more fun, just worse. Maybe that's just me though?
Heh, I remember I barely beat the 4th dungeon all the way through. I remember beating it in and instantly warping back to Termina's City and saving the game with barely any time left to do so.
But yeah, Wind Waker was my biggest Zelda dissappointment. Boring game, didn't enjoy the storyline, the game was far too easy (the dungeons were a joke), and it was incredibly short, aside from spending a dozen minutes traveling on the boat to get somewhere.
I'm a huge fan of the Zelda series though, really. But I haven't played any of the Capcom developed ones, being Ages and Seasons. Honestly, am I missing that much? Doesn't seem like anyone says those are their favorites. |

I agree with you, if you read the article about Zelda TP in last month's Nintendo Power, it shows what will be in the game like the Gale Boomerang and the ability to turn into a wolf. This will be a great Zelda game. |

My N64 always crashes when I rent Ocarina of Time, so I've never been able to get far in it.
My favorite is probably Link's Awakening, followed closely by A Link to the Past, and AOL. |

Originally posted by Zeogred Link to the Past, easily makes my decision. My other top favorites, and some of my favorite videogames of all time: - Ocarina of Time (similar to LttP, just 3d with some other storyline-altered things, great game) - Links Awakening (soooo ahead of all the other Gameboy games for it's time) - Legend of Zelda (how can you not like the original?) - Zelda 2 (underated. Man, it's good!)
- Majora's Mask (also kind of underated, it's not the best but it's a good game)
That's pretty much it for me. LttP is just great and I can play it to death. I hated Majora's Mask. I had a bad feeling about it when it came out, so it wasn't the major letdown that Wind Waker turned out to be.
Everyone had their own long, stupid story to tell. Even the boat. The boat had a story. After chatting with a bunch of jerks, the god damn boat had a tale of its own. That's how much this game was against me. Die Wind Waker. |

I'm amazed how many of you chose Link's Awakening. I figured I was alone on that one.
It was the first zelda game I played that seemed accessible to me. The nes versions were so tough and akward that I never played them to there fullest until Emus came out. I have a new apperciation for Zelda II now.
And it was the first Gameboy game I ever played! |

I haven't played them all, but I like The Wand of Gamelonj/k. I really like Ocarina of Time, because I liked the art style in it. I'm also really looking forward to twilight princess. The trailer DVD I got in Nintendo Power was awsome. |

Mine would be Ocarina of Time, with Link to the Past just barely behind it. No real reason, I just love the games. I do like Windwaker, but it's way too easy - except for the naval combat, which is a FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS.
And for no reason whatsoever, I'll tell you that Mom's favorite is the original. |
