The only SSBM tournament I participated in was a random character tournament where it was all done "hidden". You didn't know who you were facing. Basically, first round...I get Jiggly Puff. I win the round because the other guy was a total wreck and couldn't handle Shiek. I progress. Second round, I get Mario...Who I'd never used. I get a beating, but manage to win. When I get into the final rounds, I get Fox and was like SHIT YEAH! But, I got to face (who later turned out to be my buddy's ex-girlfriend) who happened to be the Queen of Bowser. Either way, we got down to one life before she got that ONE item that fucked me up. Bunny ears. |

Haa...I think we just had a best character thread a little bit before..however this is a little bit different, I think. So, I guess it is ok 
My best character is Pikachu--my skills are the speed and the annoying nature of the attacks. But mostly that speed  I guess I cannot prove it to you ._.; but um...I am sorta good at it! |

Man, I lost to Sheik in a tournament a few weeks ago. She was teamed up with Ganondorf while I was another Ganondorf who teamed up with Luigi. Anyway, we lost to them bad before the tournament started and when the first round began, we had to face them on the first round because we got the paired up against them since we drew the last two numbers in the box. |

Yeah Sheik does rock hard, I use Zelda/Sheik in VS's and Pikachu in events and stuff Zelda's B move rocks hard

Best character: Peach  (she's the best and she's broken or so my friends says lol)
What you did to earn your skills: Play a lot, practice with other college
students and videos from internet. 
Skills: Good at wavedashing, short hope, crush cancel, edge hogging,
L cancelling, manipulate Peach floating ability to start float on ground, butt wall of
pain out of the stage, chain grabbing, shuffling and many other things that I don't
remember now.
And then your proof - Don't have any photo to prove but I'll love to do it since I
consider myself a very good SSBM player.
and then any comments: Peach down smash is broken. I made 73 %(more or less)
damege. Thats very broken if you crush cancel it. I team up with other peach,
one grabed the other and the other peach spam the down smash and did more
than 100% damage. Another thing I can't forget is, one player got caught in Ho-oh
sacred fire and I start to down smash and made hundreds of damage.
(can't remember how much did but it was a lot  )

My best character is Marth, although I was extremely tempted to say "Bowser".
I don't have any solid evidence that I'm good with him, like pictures and such, but I can say that I beat the Master Hand / Crazy Hand, and Giga Bowser events with him. As a side point, I did both of those at 4 in the morning on a friend's copy of the game, since I don't have one 
As for things I like about him, he's quick, which has proven quite useful in rolling out of the way after getting knocked down by an enemy, and then retaliating before they get a chance to attack. His sword does some nice damage, especially when you can hit the enemy with the sweet spot Also, the smash move you can charge up, where you push the control stick left or right, and hit "A", then hold both buttons is quite handy for knocking out enemies with a moderate percentage of damage, even if you don't charge it up completely.
Like I said before, sorry about not having any proof, so you'll just have to take my word for it |

Character: Pichu & Bowser
Skills (Pichu): Most underated character ever = people ignore you. Basically, most of the time, I can just sit there, charging Pichu's incredibly powerful Skull Bash while the others ignore me and... BAAAM! Once people start realising I'm a menace (or decide to attack me from the start), they realise that I do know the advanced techniques and use them well! Basically, even if you're using Fox, you're going to have a lot of difficulties hitting me and in most battles, I usually get the control of the game and force people to stick to my plan (as in: force foe to get hit by such attack;not actually telling people to do what I want them to do).
Skills (Bowser): Bowser is the most endurant character in the game and this shows especially when I play as him. I've specialised in using him as a counter to fast characters. Basically, I'm the nightmare of every single Fox player since the second they get in close, they keep on getting hit and just can't escape.
Proof: Do this have any use? How many of us actually take the time to take a picture of the screen during the heat of the battle? Myself, I'm more focused on actually playing than getting pictures for people of the internet, sir.
Comment: As you must have realised from the descriptions above, I use Pichu in melees and Bowser in duels. This doesn't mean I can't take on several opponents using Bowser or that Pichu is easy to beat in duels. Far from it. Also, I'm thinking about maybe mastering a third character. Bowser can take on fast characters, Pichu on the slow/medium ones... but what about those who use completely weird characters like Game&Watch and Peach? Peach isn't as bad... but her popularity is growing as people realise that she's quite strong. As such, I believe I should maybe add a third character to my list of best characters... |

Fox
Skills: I can give ANYONE a run for their money. I'm also a bastard player, I generally don't take damage because I know when to get into a fight and attack and when to NOT do that. It's all in the timing.
Proof: I don't even on a working webcam anymore  Besides, what do you want to see? Me on Hyrule Temple standing just outside the death box while two other people duke it out with no damage while one is flying off the edge? |

Okay... so admittedly, I'd prefer to not have items, as it adds alot of luck to the challenges. My favorite character is Mario. I know no one who surpasses my skill with him (even though I know no one who also uses him) I use Yoshi, and just totally kick ass! He's not my favorite, but he's the best competition against ranged fighters. So my biggest challenge is my best friend. He uses Young Link. I've tried him, and don't like him at all. Adult Link is the way for me. I'm just a bomber-maniac!
I have absolutly no proof of how good I am, but I feel that I'm pretty damn good! I feel that my talent is the skill of unpredictability, and being able to pick up on other's moves. .. I kinda know what they're gonna do next, so I change my strategy to confuse them and catch them off-guard.
Alright! So if the next Super Smash Bros. game is anything like (or even better than) the current one, I'd certainly love to take on anyone who'd be willing to challenge me.
Your key to victory against me is unpredictability... as I can pick up on it veeerry easily. |

Character of Choice: Dr. Mario,Gannon,Link
Proof: I can't deal with cameras...
Comments: I usually play Gannon for fun like on matches and he kiks butt. Link is my secondary choice and Dr. Mario is my first. Althoguh he is slower than Mario he is hecka good, too bad my controller isn't the best for SSBM though. 
Accomplishments: I finished Showdown in 16 minutes! Okay that's wasn't really an accomplishment but i'm not very good with Yoshi lol. I finished Bomb Fest in around 2-3 seconds I forgot how to do it again... |

Best Character: Ganondorf
Skills: I don't get KOed easily until 200 to 250% damage, I KOed lot's of people who pick the lightweight characters, ex. Jigglypuff. I mainly use him in tournaments and win with him.
Proof: Can't take pics because I don't have the equipment.
Comments: I once KOed a guy with Ganondorf's Volcanic Kick which takes about 5 seconds to charge and this guy didn't know I was behind him because he was to busy attacking the wall. I used to be Captain Falcon but I got KOed pretty easy and turned to the dark side for power so that's why I'm Ganondorf now. |
