You also forgot to mention how they fare against everyone else:
Home: 29-19 <-- wow, a winning record
Road: 22-23 <-- Not winning on the road? For shame!
AL East: 17-21 <-- They can't even beat the teams in their own division!
AL Central: 9-7 <-- Who the hell have they beaten? The Tigers, since KC swept them, and the Twins took 2 of 3 earlier this year. Congratz, they beat the Tigers... Just wait til they play dem White Sox.... Muahahahhaahahahahhahahahahaha!
AL West: 14-7 <-- Yeah, they beat up on the A's when they sucked, but now they are hot. They also beat up on the Mariners a bit too.
NL: 11-7 <-- Impressive, actually. Who'd they play? Lost 2 or 3 to the Brewers, swept the Cubs, swept the Pirates, lost 2 of 3 to the Cardinals (and who hasn't done that?), and split with the Mets (3 - 3). WOW! The Yankees are playing the bully with the Pirates and Cubs!

The Yankees will be the bully with the bad teams (except KC and TB) and get bullied by the good teams.

Oooh, I'm sorry, then why bother posting? If they're reduced to trotting out Tim Redding (now no more), Darrell May, and... I think Aaron Small, they DO suck. They're not the same team, and they just don't have what they did in the late 90's. Nice to see you're going to let Manny Ortez ruin the team for you (and they aren't exactly assholes, ya know... A-Rod is and always has been the most disingenuine player ever).

How do they suck when they're in first? Well, for quite some time, you were trotting out Tony Womack and his .538 OPS. Das no good at second base. Oh, wait, he was supposed to be the answer in CENTER FIELD? Oopsie. Posada's been on a tear, bringing his average up to .260. Bernie Williams is done, there's just no getting around that.

Wanna talk pitching? Their rotation of hidden blistering death:

Randy Fucking Johnson: ERA just coming down from 4.50, K/9 IP under 9. Nope, he's not the same. Will he adjust? Jury's out on that. But this guy's supposed to be your ace, ya know.
Mike Mussina: He is what he is, through and through. Only hittable (giving up almost 10 H/9 IP) but at least he isn't walking enough to make his WHIP (1.33) suck TOO badly.
Carl Pavano: Adrian Beltre with a slider. Oh yeah, he's on the DL.
Kevin Brown: He's done. Glad you're getting his contract off the books this season? Just came off the DL.
Jaret Wright: Do they have do-overs in baseball? No? Cuh-waaaaap. Or, as the kids say, "hay s^ 60-day DL?"

Spot starter? How's about...
Chien-Ming Wang: "Dr. James Andrews", baseball-speak for "Out for the Year."
Tim Redding: You got him and Darrell May for Paul Quantrill, designated for assignment for prolonged suck.
Darrell May: And yet the Padres STILL got the better of the deal.
Tanyon Sturtze: There's a reason TAMPA BAY dumped him. They didn't think to put him in the pen, where he feigns competence.
Sean Henn: Pitching prospect. Didja know there's no such thing as a pitching prospect? Ask John Sickels.
Al Leiter: Just because Florida has a good rotation, doesn't mean ALL their starters are good. When he got DFA'ed, he was last in the majors in first-pitch strikes. You fall behind hitters, you WILL suck. Debut against Boston? Blind squirrel meets nut.

Ergo, Yankees are titanic underachievers. Sucking, even. Want to remedy this? Well, seeing as they have NOTHING to trade, save Eric Duncan (who isn't exactly tearing it up) or Henn (remember what we said about pitching prospects?)... they, uhm, can't. They've gotta hope EVERYONE was starting slow and they become world-stomping titans. Which they're not, seeing as uber-pinch hitter Ruben Sierra just stomped himself onto the DL (hiya hamstring!)...

But more importantly, what the hell does this have to do with Terri Schiavo?

Yankees don't suck. They are just having a bad season. Not any more. Yankees are in first place right now. How do they suck when they are in first place. Boston sucks because Ramiraz is an asshole even Ortiz. The fans are a bunch of ass too. I don't want to talk about anymore. End of post.

Let's see, Rivera came in and threw 2 pitches.... He recorded the final out because Francona didn't want to take any chances. That means Francona did his job, Rivera did his job, and everyone knew that the AL meant business.

yankees are amazing

Amazing? Is that why they are 2 1/2 games behind the defending WS champs? The Yankees are an amazing .500 team, because they aren't consistant with anything. The Devil Rays are beating the hell out of them, the Red Sox have posted two 17-1 victories against the Yankees this year, that's amazing? I find it funny that my lovely team that only spends $40 million is higher up in the standings than your "holier than thou" Yankees. </rant>

Dag, yo. Nothing says aura and mystique like Tim Redding, Darrell May, Jason Anderson, Scott Proctor, and Buddy Groom.

It should be noted that there is never a bad time for this:

Indeed, most of Wickman's saves are with interesting scenarios. He usually gets a batter on base (or two or three sometimes) but still gets the save.

I caught the first two innings and then tiny bits and pieces afterwards. I was disappointed to see Wickman only face one batter.

Fix'd.

I saw pretty much the whole game, and it was fairly dominating for the AL, who I was rooting for. In all honesty, I think that the game would have been closer if they just took the AL against the Cardinals, even though it was 7-5. It was pretty much domination by the AL.

And I was hoping that Ortiz would take the MVP award, but I guess they gave it to Tejada anyway because he hit the monster HR. Meh.

Actually, Tejada had that record, 15 home runs in one round during last year's derby. Bobby Abreau (of the Philly's) absolutely destroyed it tonight. In the first round no less, Abreau hit 24 home runs, and hit 41 total for the entire derby (he of course won it as well), and he is now the home run derby king! As for the ASG itself, the American League (as always) will win and thus get home-field advantage for the World Series. And since Burlhe (sp?) is starting, I have nothing to worry about (and yeah, I don't like him since I'm a Twins fan, but in this case, I'm rooting for him.) Yeah, Red Sox managers are 1-5 all time for the Mid-summer Classic, but I think that record will go to 2-5.

if I read it correct earlier, beltre's home run derby record was shattered...

anyways, this all-star game doesn't interest me too much; plus there has been little talk of sports at times
