That would be great except for one problem:

You can't stack sprites anyway. And you can't pick an object up, let it become a sprite (which it must), and then set it back down as an object.

So that idea is gone right there. Also, if it was possible, you could only have about 5 or so blocks until some start disappearing.

Well, you see, the whole purpose of them was to use them as grab and drop objects that could stak on one another, so, for instance, there'd be a really high ledge somewhere, and you'd need a couple of those blocks to stack them n a fashon that they make stairs. I think it would be a really neat lttle puzzler, in my opinion.

Hey Clockworkz, I just thought of something that may be useful for you...

In stead of finding out a way to make a brand new custom block, why not ASM hack the original spring board so it uses 4 different graphic tiles. Then just edit the graphics into a note block. I believe that making the springboard use different graphic tiles would be a hell of alot easier than making a block that does what you need it to do. Especially when an object (well sprite) that does it, is already included in the game.

Can't some sprite editor change the graphic bytes used by a sprite...

I think he wants a note block that acts like a regular note block (you can bounce on the top), but also make it so you can pick it up and set it back down to jump on again.

I doubt that would be of any use really tho...It would have to turn into a sprite, and it would fade away/break anyway. If you could disable that it might be cool.

That wouldn't make a lot of sense. I mean, you either bounce off a block or you pick it up... having both would neither work right or have any sort of purpose. Unless you planned on jumping on the sprite that came from the noteblock. In which case... why not just use on of those blocks that has a springboard pop out of it?

Is there any way to make a grab-able Note Block? I think it would make a nice addition... although, it may be a sprite...
