I don't rate pics often, but I must say, this one looks great. I can just, feel the fun by looking at the clever ways you set up some obstacles...like with the circling boos on the narrow platforms. I might have to steal your ideas . If I ever get back to my game .

Just fix the problems mentioned before, and you'll be on your way.

Oh, and you can't find PM2 ExGFX unless someone made it...which I doubt. You'll probably have to make it yourself.

I was thinking of using a bit of ExGFX for PM2, but can't find any ANYWHERE! That may be a problem . . .

Looks okay for a hack without any ExGFX, I guess. However, if your hack is titled "The Thousand-Year Pipe", then may I suggest some ExGFX based off of Paper Mario 2? I think they would go well with the theme.

I had geocities a while ago forgot to change anyway, so will stick with it for a while. Is that annoying Mario BG I forgot to replace still up there. Grrrr . . . *grabs a mallet*

How can you consider that spam? I'm giving the topic creator a suggestion. How can I look at the screenshots if I can't see the site? Geocities has enough bandwith for like... 3 people to look at a page before its unacessible for an hour.

Anyway, I can view the screenshots now, and they look great.

A. Coins are accessed a different way
B. Already fixed switch palace ground

And no, not all good hacks have to have ExGFX, I've seen some good ones

What's are these coins?

Uhh. Glitched ground.

Finnal comment: Why you don't use ExGFX? All good hack must have ExGFX.

Looks good for something that has no Exgfx in it.

Looks good.

To be honest i do not think it is great in any way, just that it looks playable.
Their dose not apear to be anything in it to make it otherwise.

But it's not bad.

Thanks for all the feedback guys - there is no longer a rope in level 1, and the switch palace tiles are *cough* mostly fixed. I'll submit more screenshots when I finish about another 5 or 6 levels

Not bad, certainly looks worth a download. But take a look at that rounded rope corner in the second shot. It's not rope. I noticed the same thing in my own hack when making a rope level...I think you need to have a certain FG/BG graphics loaded (it was something like that...) to get the right rope pieces.

Lookin pretty good actually. I can't seem to find any palette errors, and aside from the things everyone else has mentioned, it looks good.

I have a question tho. Will you be changing the overworld too, or leaving it as is with maby a few tweaks?

Yeah, even when you're trying not to use any ExGFX I would still suggest making a few variations on the original SMW tiles (even if ExGFX is required) to fill in things the original didn't have, like those. I made a cave level with all original graphics but I still needed to make my own bottom corners, just needed a Map16 tweak though.

Thanks =) yeah I couldn't figure out the switch palace tiles, since they gave me very limited option. I have one that goes like this though:

_|

but I don't know how to rotate it. Anyone know how to do that and make it available to be put on the screen?

This isn't looking half bad, the last few screens look pretty action-packed, so that's good. The only conceivable problem I see from here is the absence of edge tiles on the switch palace floor, but that's about it. It looks rather good considering there are no ExGFX...not that I'm pressuring you to put them in, you can still make some kick-ass levels without them. Good job.

Wow, thank you I'm surprised you like it. I'll fix the rope up in level 1 right now, and the ledge in level 2.

The palette for the ground l(rope) in level one looks terrible. Fix it.
The bonus area in level two has some ledge problems. Get rid of the singular column in the middle and replace it with a cement block.
The Ghost Houses look impressive. In fact, other than the points I mentioned, it looks decent for a hack with no custom blocks, ExGFX or anything like that. Nice job, so far.

After countless hours of busting my brain (not really), figuring stuff out all by myself with no help at all from this board (whatever), and never giving up (oh, bull shit!), the screenies of my first world are finally here. Super Mario World: The Thousand-Year Pipe - is crap. Crap that came out smooth, clean, and delectable!

"End sarcasm"

The screenies for the first world of my first hack are below. Don't blame me if it sucks, blame someone else on the board Currently there are no shots of the overworld, but they'll come soon. So tell me what you all think, and what could be improved. I won't cry if anyone says it sucks, but compliments are always nice
