I saw those backgrounds before (Ren & Stimpy). I want to use them, but I have no idea how to rip those backgrounds. If someone like peter_ac or smwedit help me rip them.... 
Edit: It's going to be late next week before I relese the patch. I got some more Dr. Mario references to add in it. I'll post more (and better) screens later too. |

I am not done with that tileset in the first place. When I finish it, I might just send it to you. I still have to add plenty of stuff, such as more decoration and some sprite graphics to match (yes, I want sprites there as well.).
I also remembered that Ren and Stimpy (I forget what it was called entirley) was about them two stopping a mouse or something like that. The second level takes place in a mouth and it has a very nice background to use... I think. It's been a while though, since I only rented it for a week a very long time ago...
It could be a good source of backgrounds and motivation. I would look into that. |

Your inside the body graphics are just like the clouds, except with a horrible palette.
If you want inside the body, you have to play many games that have you eaten or something like that.
Few minutes in LM and that is what I came up with (don't critisize the background. I just quickly whipped up something).
Instead of red, try something along the lines of a pink color. I have seen that in cartoons before, so it should work... |

I didn't mean to offend you, Link, I'm just saying... Eh. I could've said what I wanted to say better (and obviously if I did then things wouldn't have gone "out of control" as you put it.) so this is somewhat my fault, but eh. As I said, it's not like all of it looks horrible

I sure did. I also added EXGFX in the "save the patient levels" so enemies could look like virus in the Dr. mario games.

It will take some time, but I think I can do it. I have to find some more unused colors on the mario pallete. |

Also, it doesn't matter; the smoke is one solid color: white. It looks really bad against the super detailed DKC background. Either use a different BG, or don't use the mist. |

The smoke looks pretty awful against that background. Get rid of it. Way to bland against way to detailed. Go one way or the other.

I got better screens of the changes I made. After the WWE show i'll post the rest.
EDIT: Since the red is sooo awful, give me an idea on what to change it into then. And I can take criticsim,if someone has an idea to back up what they don't like about the game.

Link, it doesn't matter if YOU like it; you're making this hack for other people, so you should take their comments into consideration, too. I think the red is awful, as well as fire mario's palette. Make the people happy; give them a hack they WANT to play; not one that you just want to play, because if that's the case, then don't bother showing it off (since apparently, you can't take criticism). |

link2004: What was shown on the ice board only covered a particular area - that is, the area that I was least happy with. I showed it to get criticism from others so that I could improve it, that being the reason I tend to show the worst stuff I have. I got more descriptive responses at the associated thread on Acmlm's, so better stuff happened there. Why don't you check it out? And my hack not looking good doesn't mean I'm unable to notice when other's don't. Yours looks crappy in far more areas, if you hadn't noticed.
crunchy nut: Me being on staff doesn't mean flaming me is worse than flaming anyone else... I'd be a damned awful moderator if I let personal grudges interfere with my practice, but either way, most of these people don't go to Super Mario Series so =/

As you go lower in the "body" levels you have to fight a virus(big boo boss). All the enemies in that area fade transparent when he appers.That why the enemies look redish like that. It can't be helped...can it?
EDIT:um Glyph Phoenix, my site is just to hold my hacks, not for show(yet). I haven't worked on it for months, so thanks for the motivation to work on it. Read the above posts and you know why Dr. Mario is black and red and what kind of level is the "red" level.

Although I agree with you link2004 (some people don't have very good social skills, too young or two geeky... that is why they post so much on forums), I'm not taking sides nor do I recommend you to start any flames. It got me in trouble several times.

-Might I suggest you add in the little virusy guys from Dr.Mario? Dont get me wrong though, I like what you've done so far, pretty creative.
-To be honest, you may also need a slightly better palette selection though.
-Also, what is the plot (if any) if you don't mind my asking? You may be able to figure out a creative way of making custom graphics to fit in. |
