hmm...Rahxephon, when was that released?

*sigh*

Like, 3-4 years ago.

Rahxephon is easily one of my top favorite animes, but obviously, it's incredibly underated. Sad too, since it's incredible.

It's loosely similar to Eva, but way better if you ask me.

Here is an article on Rahxephon.

Please, oh please oh please, take a look at how high people have rated it.

Plot Summary: In a world where time passes at a crawl and the blood of your neighbor runs blue, 17 year old high school student Ayato Kamina goes about his daily life within Tokyo Jupiter oblivious to the world around him, having been educated with the fact that the all civilization but Tokyo has been destroyed. But all that changes when the mysterious civilization "MU" invades his home, raining destruction down from the sky in the form of strange monsters called Dolems. The events that occur next will lead Ayato to the mysterious woman named Reika Mishima, to the truth of their existence, the discovery of what and who he is, and to the powerful angelic robot RahXephon.

It's a masterpiece psychological thriller that has tons of plot twists, and by far some of the best sound ever and ultimate character development.

And where did you get that information?

I'm quite sure it has not been licensed, and I know for a fact there are several different fansubs out there.

On a side note it was produced by Bones.

Edit: I guess it has been licensed, but the entire series has been fansubbed.
Anyways, here's the source I meant to link to for my first post.

Has anyone checked this show out?

It's pretty good, I'd try to explain it but ... I'll just quote the animenewsnetwork:

Anime News Network
Plot Summary: It is the year 2100, and on the colonised Moon, a project is under way to explore new aspects of energy. Amami Kurau is the daughter of the chief scientist on the project, and on her 12th birthday, she accompanies her father to the lab to observe the experiments. Then something goes awry, and Kurau is struck by twin bolts of light. In the aftermath, her father is dismayed to find that his daughter is no longer his daughter. Rather, her body is now home to two energy entities with fantastic powers.

My friend says it's his favorite sci-fi show, and even better than Rahxephon (that's a tough one to beat in my opinion), so this is basically what I've been watching lately.

It starts off oddly, but it gets better after the first episode or two.

I'm on episode 6, and I can say it seems to be very promising. Great music, great setting, good characters, all seems good.
