Yeah, I've been poking around it trying to change anything, but I'm getting nothing at all. I dunno, I'm just a little fried. I'll figure it out.

I'm going to have at least 10% of the game done by the end of the month, everything leading up to the bridge. The events up untill the boat are going to stay pretty much the same, when you get the boat though the game is going to be completely non-linear, where you can travel to 4 different islands to save that part of the world, all leading up to the final battle. Nice screens by the way!

*EDIT*
I figured I would post a new screen. I'm editing other stuff while I try to figure out where the bridge scene's GFX data is at, and this is a new boss I made. Every story needs a villian and in The Crescent of Civilius the villian is Valkner the Spiteful here's how he appears at the beginning of the game:

I didn't know it was that far along. Looking forward to it though.

Apparently, I'm the only one not using the bridge scene as crossing a bridge Left is King Azmur of Darna, Middle is Princess Lachesis of Agustria, and right is King Ashnard of the invading Verdane Empire.

Here's a concept of the Bridge Scene for FF: The Crescent of Civilius. It will become reality as soon as I can figure out how to edit the GFX for the bridge scene... It's being a royal pain in the rear.

On another note, I'll probably make 2 releases. The first one will have the main game, which is kind of short in comparison to the original FF. The second will be an expansion with all the sidequests. The reason I'm doing that, is because this game has already been in the process of being made for about 2 years and I just want to get it out.

Not bad, not bad...but a few things:

1. The OW looks a bit too much like the original world 1 for some reason...
2. Where does the pipe on the OW lead?
3. Is the Fire Bros. supposed to be stuck in the pipe?
4. Those green blocks don't look nice... replace them with something more scenic, or just change that area around a bit to add more detail.

I like it..I really do. I made about 3 OWs in my boring school yesterday, so I'll bring them home tomorrow.. if no one has seen my current 3 OWs, here they are:

Let me know what you guys think - I'll post another 3 tomorrow when I get my sketches

OK, I'm working on SMB3 Hack as well as a SMW Hack, but don't expect it to be superawesomelycool or anything else. it's just to try to get the hang of hacking other games.

Now, for the part you've wanted... the screens!

Yes, I'm still working on it.

The only thing I don't like about it is how their noses kinda stick out and the font is wierd But since we're talking about characters, they look really good. But I think the green is a little too dark.

I'm thinking about going back to hacking Final Fantasy... It probably won't turn out to be anything, but I like playing around with it every now and then. I redid the sprites for the party that you would play as in the hack I'm doing, check 'em out:

yeah, the bridge doesn't look as nice as I'd have wanted. might throw in a line a couple pixels over it to make it look like you can see part of the top of the bridge instead of just directly side-on. I would have liked the bridge to be lower on-screen but then I'd have to wrangle with mixing it in with the silhouettes there, in particular with the Attribute table, so the hell with it.

Not all that big on the bridge in the background, love everything else. Especially the silhouettes.

Well, here's a list of screenshots from my 4 completed stages done so far for my Megaman 3 hack of recreating the gameboy version for the NES.
There's just a few minor bugs though currently which I haven't figured out how to fix on my own.

_______________________________________________________________
I spent the most time working on the Gemini Man stage...the last 2 weeks pratically nonstop.

Gemini 1 star update - Attempted to update the stars ...should i leave it blue or turn it back to white ?
Gemini 2 - The E tank this time will be guarded by a little bubble fish enemy.
Gemini 3 - Should you take the high ground ..or venture the final stretch of the stage underwater ? ..the choice is yours depending on if you currently have Rush Marine or not. But I made sure to edit this area so that no matter which path you take...you'll have to avoid those spikes, and flying misquitos/submarine torpedos
_________________________________________________________________
Shadow 1 - The jumps are going to be harder this time then in the GB version.
Shadow 2 - I attempted to add some of those cool looking pipes into the boss room from the Doc Robot Shadowman Stage. They're not 100% perfect looking yet. :|
_______________________________________________________________
Snakeman 1 - Eddie is in the Gameboy version ...but not the NES version. ...so i tried to redo that part for my NES hack. ...oh and that palm tree is my version of the trees from the GB version. ..i wish I could make them animate. ...say ...making them sway back and forth rather than changing colors.
Snakeman 2 - You know how near the end of the stage that the sky is light blue with clouds? ...well I've got that for a few screens...but when you reach the very top as you see in the screenshot...i wanted to see if I could give it more of a ...going into a night-time like theme with grey storm clouds.
_____________________________________________________________
Misc:

Sparkman Spike Update - The game had unused spikes ..so i wanted to put them in for half of the stage.
Menu Update - Instead of the word "next" and a arrow pointing down in the weapon menu ...i turned it into my own folder icon which I drew MYSELF from scatch. ..It has a little "W" on it which is meant to repersent the word ...weapons. Might not look perfect yet.
_____________________________________________________________
That's about it for now...going to be starting the next 4 stages....but it's going to be alot more harder...right now i'm taking a break really trying to come up with ideas on how to set things up. ...still things I need help with to figure out.

Hope you guys like the screenshots....since this is my first project and things are going good so far.

Nice screens Googie. Always looking forward to your hacks

Hey Celice I'm curious, are those original graphics, as well as the screenshot I saw from your profile last time I checked?

Ah, no, unfortunately. The first one is a mix of different games I've gone through (mostly NES and GB), but the second is straight from a SNES game, with teh nessacary conversion, of course

Does anyone recognize the tileset and/or the level from the second screen? THey're both from the dame game (the bucket, urn, and armor aren't).

Well, with her hack I was trying to give her a feel between SMB2 and SMB2J the best way I could, I was really glad that she liked the whole set up. Here's another pic of my Mega Man hack, I finished Ice Man's level.

Just a palette change here, I'm still deciding if I should use gfx from other MM games or stay with the current. As for the bottom pic of Nodion, that's schweet.

With the way this semester is going, I don't really get a lot of time to hack, so I'm just doing a small GFX project while I have free time. It's going to be Jump Man vs. Donkey Kong. It's just an updated GFX hack of Donkey Kong for NES. It will probably be done in a week or less if I have enough time. Here's a few shots of what's done so far.
