Ah, well for my first sub-map i thought it was ok hah. Thanks for the positive feedback, i took your advice basically peter_ac and worked around it. Shrunk map down and bit and changed it so it doesnt seem squashed like i ran outta room. I'll upload some pics later once i get further in my hack.

This overworld looks very good restart! I like the variation you have with the land, but you have MANY graphical problems. Some paths are to thick, land decoration (mini hills, rocks, plants etc.) overlapping parts of the land it shouldn't, some parts are impossible. The waterfall is once space to high. Just stuff like that.

It is currently impossible (excpet thru hex probably) to change the layer 3 border on the submaps. I thought Smallhacker was working on a program to edit it, but I'm not sure. I have been mentioning the border to be editable for many many months tho. It would look pretty nice and I'd be gald to test it out if someone makes one....hint hint.....

first of all, apart from quite a few small glitches, it looks great. second, i doubt you could enable screen scrolling on submaps, and if you could, it wouldn't work out too well. the edge 16x16 tiles are always covered by a few Layer 3 tiles on a submap, but it doesn't happen on the main map. the only solution i can think of would be to delete the graphics of those Layer 3 tiles, and i don't think that would work out too well because it would delete a few tiles on the top too. i think you should just work around it, and shrink the submap to fit inside the edge 16x16 tiles.

Hello again, ive created an overworld for my game by editing the existing starting area (Yoshi's Island) and it came out pretty good i think:

Yet when i play, the screen is more zoomed in then shown above. Therefor when mario moves to the 1rst level on the left, he exits the screen or view area and cannot be seen.

Is there a way to edit so the camera or game will follow mario on his path or maybe just a way to show my entire overworld area instead of a close up portion? Thankyou.
