*Ryan handles the stone in his hands, watching Emily walk off. He puts the stone in his pocket and crouches down, concentration a powerful Mind Over Matter. He slowly fades away, back to his home, feeling glad he has won his first battle*

OOC: I that, from now on, whenever someone defeats one of my characters, I'll give them a cool item or technique, or something like that. It'll make a good incentive, and you're rewarded for your skill...

Emily: All right. Here you go!
Emily handed Ryan a round stone that glowed gray, yellow, and blue in the light! Also, on the stone was a carving of a falcon...
Emily: If you ever enter any more battles, and you're in a bit of trouble, you can use this stone to temporarily summon Hurro! It might only last for a few minutes, but he'll stick by you for as long as he can. Use it well!
(OOC: So if you ever want to use the item, just PM or something and I'll join your battle for a few turns as Hurro to help you out. Whee  ! Gotta use Ryan, though.)
Emily looked at the sky. It was getting late...
Emily: Well, it's been fun, but I ought to be going home now, or people will get worried about me. I'll see you later!
Emily turned and headed back into the forest... |

*Ryan's own energy he had put into the field earlier (Just incase one of us died) quickly gathers back inside him, revitalising him.*

*Ryan lowers down the power in his sword to make it vanish, and stores any other energies flowing freely inside him.*

Emily would have been able to dodge the arrow...but the sleeping powder came first, and that was much harder to avoid. Once the substance touched her, she fell right asleep, completely against her will. What's more, since she was asleep and couldn't move, the arrow hit her!
Emily woke up, feeling very beat, and got up off of the ground.
Emily: Ooooowww...okay, Ryan, you win this one...
Hurro cawed frantically, landed on Emily's shoulder, and pecked rapidly (although lightly) on her head!
Emily: No, really, I can't go on, Hurro! Call off the storm!
The falcon made a grumpy bird sigh, and cawed quietly. The sky returned to how it was before - nice, bright, and sunshiny. After this, he flew into the air, and flashed white with magic, and Emily did too. Slowly, their stamina began recovering. Emily walked toward Ryan.
Emily: You, you're tougher than you look. I suppose that that's to be expected in this world, though. Or else, why would you have been looking for a spar, huh? ...Say, since you won, how about I give you something, as a prize maybe? I really don't mind...actually, I think it'd be fun. Well? |

*Ryan only manages to make the haze form around him so his mind is hit with full damage.
Mind Power - 45%
Mental Life - 10%
He is hit quite high up and far away but he lands slowly. The haze around him has turned into a redish colour, showing he may not be able to keep it up for much longer. He ues Mimic again and a small bag appears in his hands. He quickly travels to Emily with Mind Over Matter, then opens it and throws it at her. Sleeping powder fell from the bag in the area Emily was in. He fires another earth arrow at her feet* |

Emily: Hey, that looks exactly like my bow!
When Ryan shot the first arrow, Emily dodged to the side, only to be tricked and hit by the earth wave! Hey, it's one thing to perform an attack, but dodging the same thing is entirely different. She tripped and rolled, avoiding the second shot.
Emily: Wow, I'm practically beat...I think you've got this round won, Ryan. Still, I'm not going to quit just yet!
Emily finished charging her spell. Once again, another sharp spike of rock shot out of the ground! This one, however, unlike the first one, came at an angle, so it would take more than jumping to dodge it...very heavy damage for this attack.
Hurro woke up, and started flying in circles around Emily. At the same time, rain started falling from the clouds...

*Ryan's voice sonds like he is in pain. He holds his hands out in places where you would hold a bow and arrow and in his hands a bow and arrow form, exactly like the one's Emily used. He fires an arrow at the floor near Emily's feet, and the attack travels through the ground exactly as Emily's would. He then fires a second one directly at Emily* |

As Emily was preparing to fire another arrow, she became aware of something behind her, and turned around just in time to see the mimic hand. She was startled, and accidentally fired an arrow at it just as it touched her, learning all of her attacks. After this, she back flipped farther, between the hand and Ryan, and prepared to cast a spell.
Hurro twitched on the ground, still unable to move. |

*Ryan jumps outside of the cylinder, and fires a beam of psychic energy at the arrow. It knocks the arrow off coures somewhere in the distance. He then feels himself suddenly grow weaker. The effects of Mental Overdrive wear off and he returns to his normal state.
Mind Power - 45%
Mental Life - 33%
Ryan begins to mutter some concentration verse under his breath. A long thin psychic arm grows behind Emily, and if it touches her, the effects of Mimic will take place*
Mimic - a long arm made of psychic energy attempts to touch the opponent. The moment it makes contact, Ryan gets all the information he need to copy every attack his opponent has done, and every attack his opponent will do. |

Ryan's mind blast affected Hurro, but seemed to miss Emily. Perhaps another try would work. Hurro fell to the ground, dazed, but the clouds still grew darker. Whatever was happening was happening on its own, now.
Emily fired another arrow, this one aimed directly at Ryan...

*Ryan is hit clean by the earth arrow but ignores it completely, as he does the clouds above them both. He sends weak mind blasts to Emily's and Hurro's minds to try and disable them for a short while. Ryan then also sends a second charge into the cylindar, causing it to glow brighter, and a red beam to circle it.

The cloud surrounding Emily disappeared, revealing her location. Hurro had dropped Emily on the ground to the side of Ryan, and was flying in the air again. He saw Ryan charging, and sensed that his move would be a strong one. With a few caws, Hurro told Emily about the coming attack.
Emily: Hmm...if you finish that charge any time soon, I think you'll have this match won! But you're still open for now.
Emily shot an earth arrow near Ryan's feet, just outside of his barrier. The ground attack traveled toward him, as usual.
Hurro cawed a several times, and a few seconds later, some dark clouds appeared in the sky above Ryan and Emily. No big moves for him this turn.
Emily's HP: 10/50 (20%)

*The tornado comes slowly towards Ryan, and he is picked up by it. He recieves the wind damage, but he manages to dive out. He lands on the floor sharply, causing slightly more damage.

He slowly gets up, feeling the Mental Overdrive wearing off*
"Grr... maybe I need to get this move into practise"
*Ryan stands in an almost bolt upright position with his hands crossed. Without warning, a huge pure white energy cylinder 5 foot in radius forms around Ryan. Anything in the way will be hit with medium power non-magical damage. He uses a lot of his Mind Power to charge this attack, and the end results are devistating. 6 posts until fully charged*
Ultimate Destruction (6 post charge) - When first begun to charge, a white spiralling cylindar forms around Ryan, which gets brighter, hotter and more damaging with each charging post. Ryan can step out of it and return to power it up at a later time, but if it is left more than 6 times or is attacked with a very powerful non-elemental magic attack then it is destroyed. You'll get the rest of the attack later when it's charged |

The sand wore away the shield slightly, but the psychic mist is what completely destroyed it. Emily started taking damage as soon as the shield was gone.
Emily: *cough* Hurro! Get me out of here!
Hurro grabbed Emily's arms with his talons, and flew into the air, away from the mist! The cloud followed Emily's position as she moved, still hiding her from view...though it flickered for a moment. The spell was about to wear out.
Emily couldn't move from her position, so Hurro did instead. He cawed wildly, and a whirlwind formed to the side of Ryan! The small tornado moved slowly, but unpredictably, and ultimately made its way through Ryan. It would deal medium-heavy wind damage.
Emily's HP: 10/50 (20%)

OOC: What do you mean, you lift up the sand? Like, you pick it up and throw it?
Also, you seemed to have forgotten about Hurro's thunder attack...
...Whoa, now that I'm reading, I saw that 6 posts back (7 when you read this), Emily shot an arrow before drinking an agility potion... what happened to that  ? |

*Ryan begins to sink and recieves the damage from being in the pool, but Ryan is not that dumb. He performs Mind Over Matter on himself, and begins to float upwards, out of the sand. He lands a good distance away and lift up the sand with Mind Over Matter, attempting to wear away the rock shield surrounding Emily. The thunder bolt hits him but with only half damage because he is slightly thunder elemental, and because of his upgraded size and strength and whatever.
Mind Power - 54%
Mental Life - 51%
Whether this succeeds or not, Ryan then creats a psychic mist in a 30 foot area around Emily to cause medium psychic damage to either the shield if it is still there, or Emily if it has been destroyed. Ryan loses 5% of his mind power for each post the mist stays up

Mental Life - 51%
2 turns until the effects of Mental Overdrive wear off*

As Ryan fell to the ground, Emily's spell finished! A large rock formed out of the ground in front of her, and molded around her, forming a very tough shield! Emily was immobile in this state, and had to rely solely on spellcasting, but her shield absorbed any damage directed toward her. All other stat upgrades to her were put on hold.
Ryan's pole hit Emily's shield, dealing MASSIVE damage, but Emily was not moved from her spot.
Rock Shield's HP: 13/60 (22%)
Emily' HP: 15/50 (30%)
Inside of her shell, Emily cast another earth spell. Suddenly, the ground beneath Ryan transformed into quicksand! With his size, he would sink into it rather quickly, and take medium-light damage for every turn he remained inside of the pool - though it was hard to escape. The pool would vanish in 3 turns, and if Ryan was still inside...well, he'd be stuck in solid ground.
Hurro cawed, and a blast of thunder shot from him to Ryan! This would deal medium-high damage, and had a slight chance of causing paralysis. |

*Ryan had almost no indirect control of psychic attacks and thus is blasted in the chest. Luckily his new size and strength helped cover a lot of the damage, and he is very resistant to psychic attacks anyway. A larger tremor is sent throught the floor as he hits the ground though.

Mental Life - 59%
Ryan turns his sword into a 40 foot long pole of psychic energy, and he proceeds to walk right up to the cloud. He holds the pole low and swings it throughout the cloud, trying to knock Emily or Hurro out of it* |

The cloud didn't seem to be working - the ball was heading straight for Emily! Hurro quickly dived in the way, suddenly covered with a powerful aura of wind. The ball brushed by the side of the wind shield...and swung completely around, now toward Ryan, and sped to twice its normal speed!
Deep inside the cloud, there was a brown flash, caused by a charging earth spell... |
