Well, forget the layout. It was apparently breaking too many pages, (although I only was able to find one, my profile page), so tomguy has removed the image. I'm going to go back to the old one, albeit with some changes. Of course, That is if an admin can fix my layout page, currently the layout overrides all of my post editing controls, both in the edit layout page and in a regular post. I can fix posts, but not the layout. too bad that the profile page isn't getting any better < /irony >

Your new layout looks great! No problems here.

Hmm, I don't see any transparency...

No, I don't actually know CSS,i just use tables and whatever I can pick up from other layouts.

Anyways, my resolution is 800x600 and 1024x768, depending on computer. If I can get a soluton, I will definitely edit my layout.

it also depends on the image, in mine, it's not that obvious, esp. on higher resolutions or bigger windows.

It doesn't disturb my that your image displays above your layout, but a solution would be nice.

a side note: are you good with CSS? I need some help.

Yeah. The problem is that no two people are guaranteed to have the same resolution, so using an image with a preset size isn't always a good idea.

I was just to lazy to ajust the image, or search for a proper version.

Did you try it as a background of the table? (Tablebackground?)

Edit: I just looked at your Bio, your postlayout messes big in there for us Firefox users.

I added "-moz-opacity:0.7 to the code, which gave the layout a non IE-onyl transparency tag. If I can get the image to overlap the post, it should look a whole lot better.

Mario is now more dark than before, viewed in Firefox. Did you a code-change?

But the background still displays above the post.

Really? I'll change that, but for me it's very clear, on both of the computers/monitors I use. Thanks, though.

Nice layout, although the blue on black seems hard to read.

All right, thanks

It shouldn't be that the image doesn't strech, but the table with the post is < table style="position: relative;top -100%; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%;...

Although I don't have a layout.. hmm.

code from your layout:
<div style="position:relative;top:0;left:0;z-index:1;height:100%;width:100%"><img src="http://www.photobucket.com/albums/v714/darkflight_devil/Mario64LavaBG.png" height=100% width=100%></div>

The height=100% doesn't work in firefox, for some very strange reason

another code section:
filter:alpha(opacity=70)

There is a firefox compatible version.. I just don't know it fully enough to be able to tell you.

I've not tested but, from a google search:
style="-moz-opacity:0.7"

that should be the same.

[edits] I forgot to add this in, but the moz-opacity DOES work.

Yikes. Thanks KawaiiImoto-e. I'm guessing firefox doesn't support position: relative; top: -100%.

At least It doesn't overrun other posts, right? I'll have to fix that, somehow...

EDIT: Here is how it is supposed to appear. Layout 1.1

All right, thanks. Now I just need to iron out the profile bug and make sure the layout looks okay in anything other than IE and this layout will be good-to-go!

I'm glad. How is the layout now, size-wise and in terms of looks for non-ie users?
