Originally posted by Bush Hater I saw a screenshot of Doom the movie. It had a bunch of people with suits on with no helmets. Its stupid because the uniforms are not the same as the game. I hope the story is the same.
up until now, the people making the movie have lied to us, its taking place on mars, there is no word yet on if the monsters are from hell, they look like the doom 3 versions of the monsters, and there is actually going to be a scene where it takes place in first person o_0

YAAAAAAY!!!!11!one I'd heard rumors of a SH movie but never come across any concrete information. I'm not familiar with the director in question, but I trust your opinion.
The movie is evidently being filmed now. (link to IMDB info) Perhaps I should have looked there before posting, but I figured it would at least be OK to give an opinion on what I hope the movie is like. |

I would like to see a movie inspired by the Silent Hill series: ordinary person gets pulled into a bizarre tale leading them through a psychologically horrifying world that inexplicably changes from normal to blood and rust and back again. The story would be key, and it would be slowly revealed in bits and pieces and never fully explained, leaving some aspects as an exercise to the viewer. In particular, the reasons for the world shifting to and from a nightmarish state (and the exact nature of any monsters found within) should be left a mystery, even if they are hinted at. Silent Hill 2 is my favorite in the series partly because it does just that (whereas the first game explained the shifts, which was a letdown to me when I found out why they were happening). The exception to this would be if the movie were like Jacob's Ladder (which was an inspiration for the first game in the series). At the very end of Jacob's Ladder,
Spoiler: we learn that the main character imagined the entire thing while dying. I would accept such an explanation for world shifts and bizarre unexplained occurrences. The point is that I would not want to see the movie definitively spell out "ZOMG an evil demon is controlling the world!" or "The protagonist has been high on some drug the entire time!" Again, hints are fine, but in my experience, "normal world goes absolutely bonkers" material is best left up to the viewer to decipher. |

Final Fantasy 10. If it was animated it would be 60% complete. Haha. No.... in reality it would be cool. The story is very solid and can keep almost anyone at attention without the pointless running around. And the abilities with the graphics these days... I think it would be good. But I would hope they would end it in one movie and not get into the 10-2 story. Just 10.
And I agree with the people saying metal gear solid. That would be a perfect movie. and the only thing is, who would be the actor? |

I want them to make a Chrono Trigger Movie. I like to see the special effects from when they go from one timeline to another. That would be awesome. |

Originally posted by GeckoYamori I thought John Woo was in fact making a Metroid movie? And on top of that he was supposed to be making a CG TMNT movie. Either way, he's sure taking his sweet time as I read about both a long time ago.
There is a TMNT movie in the works that is going to be at least partly CG (no word on if it's all CG or just the Turtles and such), but John Woo has nothing to do with it. That was just a rumor.
And, as has already been said, I wouldn't mind seeing a Half-Life movie. I can already hear the right-wingers bitching about the negative representation of the American army/government! Hooray! |

That is the funniest thing I've read all day. Thank you.
Leave it to Uwe Boll to make me hate BOTH a zombie movie and a Michelle Rodriguez movie. That requires a special level of suck all it's own. |
