the first result pretty much explains it, some of the other results do a nice job as well.

btw, I don't mean this as a "USE GOOGLE!!" post, it just seemed easier to link to a page with multiple links to help, instead of just one page.

Is there a way to do it?

I remember 'style opacity' didn't work, and I can't say I know of any other way to make tables transparency, so just thought I'd ask.

Simple question I guess.
