I kind of skipped over the first line anyway of what you said so I didn't comment on that part at all .

I do want to look more into SNES games. I should go do that now. Someone gave me bunches of recommendations last summer and I had them on the compy but then we got a new one so . I'm definately into the RPG's so I know it'll be worth going back to play some of the classics .

Yeah, I can't believe I didn't get into the system when I was younger. My dad bought me Genisis and I'd argue with my cousins that it was better but now I'm realizing the great games SNES had to offer.

Whoops, for some reason I got your post mixed up thinking it was Yoronosuku, that's why I made that first comment in my post above.

Well, regardless, yeah the SNES is definitely worth going back to, and for single player games I'd say it has an edge over the Genesis - RPG's, save files, adventure games, etc.

You'll think I'm unoriginal... but my vote goes to Super Mario World 1 and 2, and Donkey Kong Country 1. Mainly because those are the only games I remember playing as a kid.

The SNES is THE best system ever made by Nintendo, I mean it too ^^; it has so much variety.

As a General Gaming moderator, you better go back and play these games!

But really, you should truly go back and play a handful of the games mentioned in this thread, you won't be disappointed.

That's pretty cool, but would you like to tell us why? Maybe you could give a detail abot what makes those your favorite games.

Hoo boy, I have a long list of SNES ganes I like:

Super Mario World: Classic game. Too bad the battery in my SNES copy are dead AFAIK, but at least I own this on GBA.
Super Mario All-Stars: 4 Marios in 1, 4 times the fun, you ger what I mean.
Super Mario Kart: My very first racing game. I really enjoyed this game back in the past, but right now, it's pretty much owned by my common playing of MK: DD.
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: one of my favourite Zelda ganes of all time. Good thing I have this on GBA too.
DKC 1-3: Three times the monkey mayhem, I prefer DKC2 over the other two.
Uniracers: Can't ever forget about this racing classic! Too bad that there isn't a 3D, GC version of the game. Now that would rock!
Illusion of Gaia: Next to ALttP, this is my favourite SNES RPG. Long, challenging, and a lot of fun.
Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3: Both of these games are great, but IMO, KSS gets the edge over KDL3 with its unique abilities that weren't in Kirby's Adventure (Fighter, Jet, Cook, etc).
Super Mario RPG: The only RPG I've played with Mario in it, this game is close to the top IMO.
Super Bomberman 1 & 2- Ah, Bomberman. I definitely would never want to neglect this guy, he's a blast! (no pun intended)

If so, then I can somewhat agree. I never learned how to play that game correctly, it was just ... chunky.

Um... he was ranting about hit detection and sword length. Bahamut Lagoon was a tactical RPG. Do the math.

I'll also use the same base as Xeolord, adding some (and excluding some too)

The ones that are excluded (didn't play, don't like, etc)

Super Castlevania IV
Starfox
Secret of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 3
F-Zero
Gradius III (i have this on mame too, but doesn't work)
Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles IV

Others not in the list (in order of preference)

Rockman & Forte
Megaman 7
Tatakae Genshijin 2 (it holds the same name as Joe & mac in jap.
but it doensn't fit in the series, it's just a weird guy with blue
hair that when hit it transforms in a monkey. If you don't touch the
controls for a while, he moves his ass towards the camera )
Contra III
Prehistoric Man
Terraenigma
Super Chase HQ

I could rant about this piece of shit for hours on end. It's so fucking horrible that playing it, looking at it, even thinking about the text on the back of the instruction manual makes me want to stab little children and kick puppies. If I had a choice between dealing with the shitty hit detection, micropixel-sized sword radius, and horrible platforming system and having a small rodent excavate my inner cavities with a case of the rabies virus embedded in its teeth, I'd take Lagoon, but that doesn't stop it from being a piece of shit.

The only really possibly slightly redeeming thing about this game would be the slightly interesting method at which you acquire spells (a 4x4 grid with artifacts lining it is displayed, basically you combine two types of artifact (a ring and a staff) together to create a magic spell in your inventory), except WHOOPSIE! THE SPELLS SUCK ASS. God dammit, just writing about how bad this game is makes me want to go slay things. I'm gonna go play KOTOR.

As for one of my least favorte games in existance, check out Chuck Rock, if you're out to play one of the worst games that's ever been created.

It was some random game my sister decided to buy, I played it, and cried.

Oh god, the GC version's a piece of crap compared to the SNES and N64 version. It's really horrible. The other two, you have to play a little bit to get into, but they're worth it in the long run. You get kind of a sense of pride after a while of realizing just what you've accomplished.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
