Notice how he ignores every other post, in favor of responding to the only ones that DON'T have the answers.
For another question: Is it possible to make Ceres in the game load the common graphics (ie doors, powerups, etc)? I switched it to load a different graphics set, but it just takes the tileset specific graphics... This also leaves no transparent graphics, as all that would be have garbage on them. |

Clocky, perhaps you're not fit to try hacking Super Metroid
Is it really worth all this shit just to try to get past the first screen of an editor? [granted, I got this editor quickly just to see what you were talking about, and I got past it almost immediately, but meh.] |

Haha, I think all editors should have these intelligence tests And uh, use the drop-down box at the top right to choose a level. |

Are you sure you didn't open a Sailor Moon rom instead? That can do somthing to screw you up. |

It's an intelligence test. If you can figure out how to get past that screen, you are worthy of using SMILE.

If you're opening a Super Metroid rom, can. See that black upside-down triangle between the two white text boxes in the top left. Click it and choose something from the list. |

The editor hasn't opened a level yet. Thats just the default image. There is one list box where you can choose which area to edit from a list of numbers.
I had the same problem, until Jathys explained it to me. |

I'm using SMILE, but whenever I load the rom, It shows Samus standing in teh starting position in the original Metroid. She's in SNES graphics, but the objects are in NES graphics. I also can't seem to interact with ANYTHING. I altered the game using the Samus Aran Beauty Salon (SABS) earlier... would that have anything to do with it? I'm makin' a SM: Evil difficulty hack, and I doubled the damage and HP of each enemy. Is that what's wrong? |
