Got it. I suspect this is what Sendy ran into in December... Except this time, there was just enough evidence still left in the ROM to let me track the cause down.

A new version of LM will be released in a few days. In the meantime Claw, I suggest not modifying your hack any further (but if you must, just do NOT save the Map16 data!). When the next version is released, download it and follow the instructions in the update before trying to save the Map16 data.

OK , the file is sent.

I just tried inserting GFX into a similar ROM (Amy's Remix, which is based on my hack), and it does the same thing. When I saved a level first, the address LM gave was around 20656874. That means it's happening after saving a level, and even if I extract the GFX first. Trying LM 1.41 and turning on "use joined GFX files" didn't make the address go to a valid number either. I've checked, and these game(s) play just fine in the emulators. The LM version doesn't change my results.

Strangely, it says 40200 if I use other ROMs.

Not really. It means that more or less severe bugs will be fixed as soon as possible, especially bugs that corrupts data.

I had the problem a few day ago, too.
Lunar Magic said to me when I want to insert the GFX that the rom offset start at 65687.
I changed it to 40200, and the Levels are messed up.
Then I looked at my GFX because I had extracted them to GFX0.bin,GFX01.bin,..., when I was looking to them I saw that GFX00.bin was empty, because I used it for other GFX and made it empty and so LM can't get the GFX right!
A tip: Check your GFX or ExGFX, if they are Ok!
BTW: When Lunar Magic said me this the 2nd time I extracted at 1st my GFX and the reinsert them back with then normal offset 40200.

Uhm... Sounds wierd...

1: Make sure that you save a level before importing.
2: Make sure that the .bin file(s) aren't bigger than it's/they are supposed to be.
3: Try to expand the rom even more (but make a backup first).
4: Try another version of LM.
5: Never change the offset manually unless you're 100% sure what you are doing, since you can overwrite other stuff.

I have no idea why, but LM (1.61) is behaving very strangely when I try to insert the GFX into a certain ROM. It keeping setting the default offset to 656874, which isn't even a valid entry to begin with. I've also tried changing the offset manually, but that messes up my game in some way or another. I do have the GFX folder and an IPS to make a copy of my ROM in a ZIP file. If testing this yourself is what you want, let me know and I can either upload it to a web server or e-mail it to someone. This problem doesn't apply to exgfx. In case you're wondering, the rom is 2MB.

(whew! I'm actually discussing my SMW hack. Sorry, no screenshots for new levels yet...)
