I think your topic shows you might be mis-understand what hex is. Hexadecimal is just an alternate formate to view binary data, which is what machines read. Ram is viewed in hex, data in roms is viewed in hex, machine code is viewed in hex. Gameshark codes are given in hex. Just to clear that much up. As for making the codes permanent, I'll leave that to HyperHacker.

I only have AIM ever since MSN decided to start bein stupid and block Trillian 1. (2 is bug city and 1's already a piece of crap. ) Check my profile. But essentially you'll need to know N64 ASM to do anything.

Well it's quite easy to convert to RAM dump addresses, but since Gameshark modifies RAM, you can't do the same by editing ROM without some ASM hacking. However, a lot of Gameshark codes do edit things (ASM mainly) copied directly from the ROM, so if you find those, you can mess with them. (For example you won't be able to permenantly hack in a score modifier the same way it's done with a GS, but you can usually hack in a jump height mod, since character physics are often copied directly from ROM. Most simple ASM editing codes end in 2400 since instruction 2400xxxx (xxxx being anything) means Do Nothing as far as hackers are concerned (it's actually add xxxx to null and store in null, but same deal). Go to the RAM address of these codes without the code on in the GS's memory editor and copy a coupla bytes, then look for them in the ROM.)

Is there any way to concert n64 gameshark codes to something that can be found in a hex editor? There are some gameshark codes i would like to make permanent in Goldeneye.
