Somewhat on topic if you go to http://www.thegshi.org/ you will find what iI think the most thurogh cheat code list out there for Terranigma. I believe those par codes were converted from raw hex addresssess so if you ask you might be able to get those.

Thx for your thoughts. And yeah, i would love to write an EVO editor. Im just too damn lazy to find all the data. You should think about finding it so that we can make a cool hack out of it.

Super Mario Kart (I want to write a good editor that is easily usable)

Kirby's Adventure? No? No? Ok, I'm sorry to hear about the rough time you have had. I am sure it will take time to get everything straightened out, but in the end you will always have your friends in your heart.

Hmmm, I should go find data for EVO. Although, it would just be easier to stick with KA since I already have stuff.

Me and Jigglysaint are making the SoulBlazer editor. I am writing it while JS is finding the data. Anyone who wants to help out is welcome, but i dont expect to have much progress anytime soon simply cause i am soooo busy with stuff, and just recently i lost 3 really close friends in a car crash which also put my best friend in the hospital with brain damage. I need to deal with all this stuff before i can do any major hacking.

Don't leave the url tag blank like that. I fixed it in this little quote...

Anyway, how do you know they are making one if they aren't telling anyone?

EW! [url=][/url]

Xcom, for future reference...

<a href=link (start with http://) target=_blank (if you so choose)>name!</a>

--OR--

[url=link (start with http://)]name![/url]

Otherwise you'll leave a mess, and people will yell, and etc etc and nobody will be happy and everyone will hate on you, etc etc and then the world ends.

No, the world only ends when someone plays your CRAZY ASS hack for FIVE MINUTES

As for the RPG Maker thing, take a look at this for example to see what I mean.

I've actually been busy hacking IOG fora couple of weeks. Made text translating code to find and edit text in tehe IOG script. The graphics are a snap to edit with something like tile molester. Item placement (In terms of what item is in each chest) is comming along. But honestly, outside of graphics hacking everything else I do in hex. Everything else just seems so... unnessesary.

If I find and crack some of the compression, will someone else do anything with the data? Hmmm... which game to start with???

As long as you have a little guidance from someone else to start, it becomes fairly easy in a short time. I'm not sure I could have learned from text docs alone, but I was taught, nonetheless, in about 30 minutes, and then I was able to start finding stuff right away on my own.

That's really one of the great mysteries of the universe.

I completely agree. Finding data in ROMS is REALLY easy. There are so many ways to go about it, some easier than others. Study up on all the different ways of data finding and dive in head first. The very least that could possibly happen is that you learn something, get better and more skilled, and have fun doing it. Time spent learning and exploring isn't wasted time by any means.

For a newbie, it IS fairly overwhelming though. I'm finding it tough to learn all this new stuff for my search for AW2 data. Not to say I don't mind learning things, it's just a bit difficult to begin with...

Hey, Cronic Wigger, how has YOUR editor been coming along, btw? I haven't seen anything on it in a while.

I love the Illusion of Gaia game, it's one of my favorites.
I may take a peek at it and eventually make an enemy editor or something ( I like making enemy stat editors ).

It may be quite a ways a way though, I'm in the middle of a Secret of Mana enemy stat editor.

I really should play Soul Blazer and Terranigma though, I've heard they are pretty good.

IoG is the worst in that series. Not to say its bad, though... but if you like it, you'll love the other two... then again, its not like the series is connected. It's kind of even less strung together than FF series. Almost no relation at all between games.

Bah. IoG is easily the best of the three. I liked soulblazer and I hated Terranigma. So, I'd say playing Soulblazer is worth a shot at the least.

Perhaps it was the translation? I mean, SB's translation wasnt that great, and Terranigma was only fan translated. I could see how that could become a problem.

Um, Terranigma was officially translated. The game was released in PAL. My friend owned a copy.

Regardless, apart from IoG's 'You found an herb', there's not that much wrong with it.
