Well, I hope that no one is waiting for a full version. It might be another couple years before that happens. Though, I gotta admit, I've learned a lot in the last year or so about level design, graphics design, et cetera. Now, I can pump out a decent tileset in a couple days (if my mind is set on it, and I have everything planned out beforehand), and a decent level in one. So who knows, the next demo might be out sooner than I think.

.... People are still stuck on wanting to be a beta tester? How sad. Peeps, JJ asks people to be his tester, they don't ask him.

I guess I'll throw myself into the pool of prospective beta testers. I see myself having too much free time in the near future..

As for me, it's just become a habit of mine to release demos at two levels, one world, two worlds, three worlds, 1/2 done, 3/4 done, and done.

LOL! Well, I was just asking since everyone else was

And I have yet to release a hack, so I'm out But I COULD release my FF demo... but I'd rather not even show screenies of it until it's halfway done, and not release it til it's done... so, I'm screwed in that regard

Nice eye candy <---get it?? har har, eye CANDY... LMFAOLOLZORetc... Hope this hack's a gem!

just a question... if each block is a different suit, how you going to have blocks of multiple suits on the same level since they all use the same graphic? Even if you change the default graphic for each block using some round-a-bout ways, there's still the problem of when you hit it, it always uses the default graphic for a ! block. Has LM somehow remedied these problems and I don't know yet?

Actually, it looks like the blocks momentarily turn into turn blocks in the original and my hack. It doesn't really look odd because I haven't changed the turn blocks. On the subject of not enough space for the different suit blocks, I've already addressed that. Each block only needs two 8x8's reflected over the y for the entire block, so that means I'll only need eight 8x8's. Four are already being used by the original switch blocks, and the final four replace the bottom of the bullet bill cannon (which I won't be using in my hack, at least at this time).

Edit: oh yeah, can I be a beta tester? j/k But the hack looks great as far as levels. your overworld could use some work based on the older thread's screenshots. but great job w/ level graphics.

I'm not offering to beta test, because chances are, someone else that posted earlier will get the job.

Very nice, though I've seen most of these graphics in earlier screenshots. I like the candy swirl skull rides, and that heart palace is awesome.

Looks good. I'll wait til the full version comes out to play it... maybe...

Since this has become the official "JJ, can I please be a beta tester?" thread, I might as well join the crowd... JJ, can I please be a beta tester?
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
