I'm against Execution, won't mention my reasons here. But if I had to "execute" someone, I would do it in the most painless way possible.
So I voted for Nitrogen Asphyxiation. :/ |

All you need is a rope and a tree thus it's cheap. It's effective, easy to clean and can be used as a warning to everybody else. |

Nitrogen Asphyxiation is a misleading term to most people, I would surmise. You could construe it's meaning as, "asphyxiation by lack of nitrogen." It's simply oxygen depervation by means of nitrogen saturation. Yes, saturation, that's a term that's much harder to misinterpret, I think. |

I chose Nitrogen Asphyxiation. It seems to be a good method.
Hanging - I was never a big fan of hanging. If done improperly takes way too long. Kinda my phobia.
Firing Squad - Most likely effective, but what if they all miss? Why waste bullets?
Gas Chamber - This was used for mass executions during WW2, wasn't it? I bet it causes a lot of needless pain. But it must really depend on the gas they use.
Electric Chair - Electricity is, as it was already said, too unpredictable.
Lethal Injection - Apparently they put stuff in there that make it so you don't feel pain, but recently some people began claiming that isn't really so. I'm not sure...
Nitrogen Asphyxiation - I'm all for it. |

Legislating vengence and bloodthirsty emotion like "fuckers should suffer!" into a legal system seems to me to be an extremely dumb and dangerous thing to do. The mindset that thinks it's a good idea to, calmly and rationally, legitimise these darkest and most primal of vengeance impulses and have other people calmly and rationally carry them out... gah the mind just boggles. Seems about two steps from angry mob justice.
The judicial system shouldn't be about rage and emotionalism and vengeance, dammit! |

If I were to be executed, I would think it pathetic and disgraceful for some government or institution to end my life. I'd most preferably like to die by the hand of my dearest friend. Sword, right through the heart. Barring that, I'd like to drown in the middle of an ocean on a day where the beams of sun pierce the water to tens of feet. I'd like that the last image I'd see would be the beauty of the light on the surface, from my perspective beneath it. Sinking slowly, assimilating into the darkness that is the deep. Pain is unimportant, it's the principle and aesthetics of the matter that concern me. Hmm... I accidentally clicked on "Nitrogen Asphyxiation." I did not intend to vote. |

yeah, nitrogen seems like the smartest choice overall....
most humane.... fairly cheap.... you could have multiple executions at the same time 
it doesn't get much better.... |

I was kind of asking which method you would prefer be used on those sentenced to death. Not necissairly the most humane.
I chose nitrogen asphyxiation not because I think it's very humane (which it is) but because it is very cheap and totally safe for those not being executed.
If a gas chamber leaks, you have a BIG problem.
Needles and blood present some risk.
Bullets can richochet.
Electricity is always unpredictable.
A nitrogen chamber leak is HARMLESS since air is almost 80% nitrogen anyway. |

Are we trying to think of the most humane way for someone to die? Or are we just saying how we would want a criminal to die? Because the most Humane way for someone to die would be a bullet to the head while they are asleep or do that gas thing but really how much would that cost? The Nitrogen asphyxiation would still be painful to them they would still feel it even if they fell "asleep." Pretty much we don't really know if it would hurt or not because none of us have ever tried it have we no. But so far it is best with the lethal injection because people can be brought back within the first minutes or so. I guess the whole thing ir really just on choice. |

Anyway, I would go for either the letal injection of nitrogen asphyxiation for your standard criminals with a death sentence. You know, like people who commit premeditated murder of some other adult(s) or a huge mess of them, your country's traitors, etc...
As for the extremely sick fuckers like child rapists/murderers, they deserve much more than a quick and painless release. I say crucify them. And when they've been up there awhile and are near death, light them ablaze. |

Nope. Hemoglobin (that stuff in your blood that oxygen molecules bind to) has a stronger affinity for carbon monoxide than oxygen. It picks up the CO instead of the oxygen. It's similar - you sufficate in both instances - but there's plenty of oxygen in the atmosphere when you die of CO poisoning. |
