Well, it's not like you're trading away your WHOLE faith... :\

But yeah. The Crystal Mines engine was at least used in one or two other Wisdom Tree games... I'm tempted to say Exodus and Joshua, and one/both of those games were direct Crystal Mines clones with added bible quizzes.

Yes, appently faith in God makes up for not knowing how to use the transparent color.

...

Anyone else finds it strange how in Spritual warfare that you can get power ups by trading in your faith in God.

Wisdom Tree/Color Dreams games weren't exactly known for their sound.

...or their graphics, for that matter.

...actually, aside from some exceptions, the games were pretty dire. Not Sachen-quality dire, but still bad.

Yup, that was it, thanks.

It's worth a play. I recomend turning off the sound once you get to the second area or so, because by then you'll have heard everything the game has to offer in that department.

Good if you need a Zelda-clone fix, this'll do it.

The cheesy religious references are good for a chuckle. I never knew that you converted people by throwing fruit at them!

As for what it's a clone of -- you can tell the code's from a Crystal Mines clone, but it tries pretty hard to be Zelda. And does a pretty good job too. Most lacking area in that respect is the enemies -- they're mostly variations on the same thing.

It would been amazing if they got the hold on the Zelda source code.

And well, it's somehow apparent that it's little based on Crystal mines. I thought it was similar somehow, but then it's made by the same company.

BTW, about Wisdoom tree... look for the Noah's ark game. It's based off Wolf3D for SNES... xD

Actually, it is a Zelda clone. Maybe it uses the Crystal Mines engine, but the gameplay itself isn't anything close to Crystal Mines.

The only thing stolen from Zelda is the graphic style, control style, level style, and some gfx

...So it's very similar to Zelda?

This game is not exactly a clone of Zelda! It is actually a reworked engine of one of thier game named Cyrstal Mines, which is alot like Boulder Dash, but no engine was copied from it. The only thing stolen from Zelda is the graphic style, control style, level style, and some gfx, but this does not really mean its a clone. I have wanted to play this after seeing it before, but never got around to finding it...Tell me if its any good Squash.

Definitely is, and it probably would have just come out 12 years ago or so too.

It's probably the best out of all the Wisdom Tree games, meaning that it's playable. Not an awesome game, but a decent Zelda clone.

Yeah, sounds like Spiritual Warfare to me too.

When I was five years old or so, I traded games with a friend for a while, I lent them Conquest of the Crystal Palace in exchange for this one game I don't remember the name of. It was pretty fun so I'd like to find a copy or something, so one of you is going to tell me the name of it.

Things I know about it --
--NES
--Overhead view
--Kinda action/adventury like Zelda
--Either a religious game or full of religious imagery
--One of the weapons you could get was an apple that you could throw at enemies.
--If you went into a casino or something seedy, you'd lose all your powers.
--I remember sneaking the character into the baggage returns of an airport or some other place with lots of conveyor belts.
--There was this prison area I kept trying to get to but only could see from the edges.

Any ideas what game it was?
