Allaura takes off her grey blindfold and stares at the Ex creature, hard.
"A name that says your true self..."
There is a long pause. Then, with a smile...
"Friend. That's who you are, that's what you are, that's what I knew you as since I met you."
Allaura waves her hand in a quick circle, and two crystal discs materialize nearby. One has red ether around it, one has dark-silver ether.
"That silver-coated disc will take you anywhere in the universe, literally. It emits an aura that allows one to survive the vaccuum of space, even. And it's all yours... because I accept you as a companion. It is the destiny of a true Psi Warrior to fight Evil in any place and form... But this is your battle, not mine. That means it's even more important for me to help you, because everybody has a destiny, and everybody has an obligation to fill it... It is an incredible honor to help a pure spirit like you fulfill her destiny.
"So that's it! Let's go, Friend... to Crystal Psipalace, HQ of the Psi Warriors. I need to report there before heading off again, and heal and such, and you should meet Sensae, too... He's an amazing man."
Allaura steps on her Crystal Disc, and it begins to levitate. "Ready?"

Ex's fighting self liked this proposition... but her true self hesitated...
Ex *thinking... but is heard by Kyr'Shei* I will come... but not if I cannot conquer this blood-thirsty alter-ego of myself. I was born a weapon... but just like the one I was named after, I want to die as a weapon and live as a hero... and for that, I must conquer myself. As such... I accept your proposition... but at a condition. I will only come once my alter-ego has been conquered... and if this means that I'll die, then so be it... I don't want to live with such a mean person sharing this body... and I do not want you to remove it either. If I am too weak to chase this bad girl from my body, then I'm not worthy of being half-Oracle and even less of being half-"Ex" being.
I hope you understand what I mean, mister Kyr'Sha... Kyrosh... Kair'Sl... mister Oracle Lord.

Luigi's eye widened... and Ex drained power from it. Slowly, all of the power Ex had gained from this battle was eliminated in order to repair her body... and while she still was in a horrible shape, her body would hold up.
Ex slowly stood up and stared at her new friend...
Ex: "Allaura... I have figured out my purpose... I will not come to the Oracle Haven... not in my current state. During the battle, you must have seen it... an evil, blood-thirsty version of myself. With no Evils to fight, I turned insane and turned against myself... and yet, as the child I am, I still yearn for a better life, a life devoid of war and destruction. This inner conflict divided my soul into two parts... me... and my alter-ego. I will no longer run away from this alter-ego! I will no longer deny it's existance! I just cannot allow such a mean person as my alter-ego to enter the Oracle Haven and as such... I want to travel with you, Allaura... to travel with you so I can conquer my own Evil side!"
Ex paused...
Ex: "Allaura... you are my friend, right? Then... give me a name... Ex cannot be my name... it would be a great honor... but I do not want to be know as yet another version of her... altought I share her powers. Give me a name that represents what I am... what I truly am and not what I look like. I trust you, Allaura. I know that the name you will give me will be the one I am looking for..." |

"Ex!"
Allaura runs up. She notices herself quite injured from the fight, but she doesn't care right now.
She kneels by Ex's tattred body and prays to Kyr'Shei.
"Oracle Lord, Kyr'Shei... She will die soon. What will happen to her?"
Half to Allaura's surprise, she gets a telepathic reply. Kyr'Shei echoes his telepathic response to Allaura and Ex's unconscious spirit, so she can hear it too.
"Allaura, it is I. You have treated Ex with respect and kindness, and I will see what I can do for this child. She has been given an incredible challenge in her life that she is forced to live with, but she is determined and kind-hearted. She is definitely an ally of the Oracles and the Psi Warriors.
"Here's my idea. The reason Ex is dying is because her Oracle energies and Dark energies are intersecting and ripping her apart. If she were to come to the Oracle Haven, the atmosphere would neutralize the intersecting forces by making the Oracle-half the dominant force. However, the stability would only hold if she were to stay in the Oracle Haven. If she were to leave, the two forces in her would collide again until she came back into the Haven. It would still be possible to exist in the Material Plane for at least half a year at most without dying, but she would then have to come back to the Oracle Haven to restore herself.
"From her unconscious state, Ex can still hear this message. Ex, if you choose to come to the Oracle Haven, you may tell me with your will. You still have will from your current state, you know. I'll teleport you here if you will it, but if you do not wish to come here I won't force a thing. You may die soon if you don't, but it's your choice..."
Allaura talks to Ex with her own telepathy. "Don't feel pressured, child. Trust your judgement and choose of your own free will. Whatever you decide, I'll keep you in my hopes and dreams..."
Allaura, from her kneeling position, and Kyr'Shei from where he stands in Oracle Haven, listen silently for Ex's will, holding their breaths... |

OFF: It seems that altought the DNA that flows trought Ex is superior, she has clearly not the experience and the endurance needed to win this fight.
NOTE: This fight could be the prologue to the upcoming RP featuring the young "Ex" being exploring the Psi Warrior world... maybe?

Ex smiles as the attack is about to hit her... she doesn't even make an attempt at avoiding the attack.
When attack strikes, it totally pierce ALL of her defenses, spilling blood everywhere.
Ex had been damaged way beyond the safety limit; there was a 47% that this last strike could have been a fatal hit.
Ex grasped her chest...
Ex: "Ex... Lightheart? THE Ex Lightheart... Heh... You gave me her first name... and now you're giving me her family name..."
Ex's expression radically changed. Her main personality had taken the control again. Instantly, Ex fell on her knees, crying...
Ex: "E... e... enough... I had enough... this was supposed to be a spar... not... not to be... like this..."
Ex was sobbing...
Ex: "I... I cannot control myself... when I am fighting... this is one of the reasons I... I hate... fighting... so much..."
A mix of pain, sadness, and overall weakness slowed down the speed at which she could talk and lowered the volume of her voice until she could barely be heard...
Ex: "I... don't... want... to be... just... a wea... p... on... I... wa... nt... to... li... ve..."
Ex collapsed and soon, her mind drifted into a sleep she was not sure she would ever awaken from...
Luigi said with it's loud telepathic voice:
Luigi *telepathy*: "Life Support critical. Blood level insufficient for auto-repair. Massive damage to lungs, heart, and most interior organs. Blood production insufficient to counter-balance blood losses. Situation critical. Heartbeat rate dropping to 60%. Attempting emergency teleportation to a safe location... Teleportation module not found. All systems critical." |

The Crimson Bubble, the 3 spheres, and Allaura's half-paralysis are neutralized.
"Wow, Ex, you sure take this sparring seriously. Not a bad thing, mind you. 'Sides, what was I supposed to expect from Ex Lightheart?"
True, Schwa had earlier told Allaura that it was Lightheart she was fighting. She never did learn the truth.
"You are Lightheart, aren't you?"
She almost forgets to attack, but remembers. "Psi Arrow!" (echo effects)
Red light gathers at Allaura's hands, and a thin red beam is fired in a pulse at Ex. The beam would do pretty good damage if it hit and would pierce non-physical defenses, but unlike Schwa's Alpha Psibeam it only goes in a straight line, not homing in. |

Ex: "He... here goes..."
DISPEL!!!
Suddenly, a dark vortex appears over Ex and all special status changes to both characters are all cancelled. In fact, all changes made exept to the Life Force and amount of magical energy left in both characters are cancelled.
In short, the attack was sure at 100% to make the spheres completely disappear, forcing Schwa to waste time regenerating them.
Ex laughed at Schwa... she truly didn't seemed like herself... and she truly looked weak. It looked as if she would faint any second... and altought Ex was laughing, it was obvious that she was distressed. Her two personalities were totally opposite... one was going to fight to the death, the other knew this was training and wanted this to end since it had stopped being fun long, long ago... |

While Ex prepares, Allaura begins to get up from the ground, slowly. Red ether flares around her hands as she does, and her movements are shaky. Though the main paralysis has worn off pretty much, she'll be a bit floppy for the rest of the fight, and a lot less nimble.
The 3 spheres don't move quite yet, as Ex hasn't struck yet.
"Interesting. I feel highheaded... I mean lightheaded," she says, a little slurred. |

Ex stares at Allaura for a while...
Ex: "Hmph! That trick again!"
DIS...
Ex couldn't finish her sentance as intense pain overcame her. She fell to her knees, screaming as her inner Dark energy and Oracle energy once again clashed, causing her immense pain.
This last clash was worse than the others. Unable to control herself, Ex began to vomit... and the color of the vomit was of only one color: red, blood red.
When she finished finished vomiting, she continued to cough up blood for a good while... and then, finally, she controlled herself.
Ex wasn't so cruel or arrogant anymore... her face showed that her current feeling was a mix of shame and terror... and judging from how pale she is, Ex must have lost a good deal of blood now...
Ex: "M... m... my power..."
Ex's voice had grown weak and faint... and she was obviously in constant pain. Her main personality begged her fighting-oriented personality to stop... that it was only a training session and was supposed to be fun... not to be a life/death trial.
But Ex's fighter personality did not listened. Ex stood up and prepared to execute her technique again, hoping that it would be unleashed before the 3 spheres would strike her... |

OOC:  Drama! Woo hoo! But actually Allaura was laying face-down. I should've mentioned that.
Red ether automatically flares up when Ex strikes, but it doesn't decrease the damage of the attack, it just prevents any cuts or bone-crushing.
Paralyzed, Allaura doesn't show the pain by any means of sound, and furthermore she's open to another attack for one more turn. The key difference: Crimson Bubble has finished recharging.
Allaura has a good idea of Ex's general direction, and without being able to look, she kinetically readies all 3 ether spheres to strike when Ex does. With the 3 spheres and Crimson Bubble in place, Allaura hopes to turn the tide somewhat given her dire circumstances. |

Ex smiled.
Ex: "Heh! This is a training fight, isn't it? Striking you right now would just be plain mean..."
Ex's split personality rose, tired of the real Ex's hesitation to attack.
Ex smiled in a rather creepy way as she approached Allaura...
Ex: "On another hand... you are right. I could take advantage of this opportunity..."
Ex pointed Luigi at Allaura... and then struck with the flat of the blade, right in her chest! She had stuck with all of her strenght with the intention of causing her internal bleeding and to break her bones.
She hoped that the bones making up her rib cage would be moved by the attack, piercing most of her organs thus causing massive damage and intense pain. |

OOC: Good point about the fire and ice, but notice they did hit the foe in different spots. That might make some difference, ya know...
Allaura can't move, but Ex gets a telepathic message from her.
"Your attack was even better than you thought. You launched one of the most poisonous weeds at me and it connected, and now I'm paralyzed. But this is a spar, and it was fair and square, so feel free to hit me with your hardest while I'm down, or charge up, or something. I was only nicked, so I should be moving again in a minute or so."
Allaura obviously doesn't understand the nature of Ex's split personality. |

As Ex was stunned, she could do nothing as the spheres closed in to attack her... but Allaura had did a slight mistake in her attacks.
The reflected water protects Ex from the red sphere... well, slightly... and even then! The red sphere's powers and blue sphere's power cancel each others.
Everyone should know that attacking using fire and ice at the same time is NOT a good idea!
As such, the damage inflicted was quite minimal... but it was still enough for Ex to at least flinch.
Ex: "OOOOW!... err..."
The world stopped spinning around her...
Ex: "How... how unfair... I got attacked when I was dizzy! Allaura! You big MEANIE!"
Ex suddenly noticed something...
Ex: "Huh? Allaura, are you feeling alright? You're all tense and... well... it seems as if you had difficulties moving around..." |

Unlike the Crimson Bubble, these pastel-colored ether spheres actually DO exist. The wind doesn't seem to affect them at all, but as they reach the tornado Luigi knocks them away. They fly high into the air and return to where Allaura is orbiting.
Then Allaura notices a wall of water coming at her. "Only one thing to do... Neon Mirror- Ruby! (echo effects)
She pulls off the same technique as the first Neon Mirror, only this one is shiny and red, not white. The wall of water slams into it and a chunk is reflected backward in the form of a good sized wave, but the GRASS isn't affected by the mirror at all and just passes through it as if it weren't there.
"What-the! GRASS, too!!?"
The grass doesn't hurt her much, 'cause it's only grass, but there's more than just grass in the mix. There are other plants as well, and one of them happens to be something called... Obsidian Ivy. It's a black flower covered in needles. Allaura gets wracked by it, right in the face!
Right after the wall of plants stops, she throws the Red and Blue spheres (fire and ice damage respectively if they hit) at the stunned Ex, but that's all she gets to do before she falls to the ground and cluches her face... She's paralyzed!
Yes, Obsidian Ivy is highly toxic and it's toxins cause paralysis! Deadly bastard plant is found only in wild jungles and swamps... What bad luck for the Psi Warrior. |

Ex *thinks* OK... you can do this without that stupid maniacal personality rising...
Ex pointed Luigi at the spinning spheres... she was shacking. Obviously, unlike her other personality, she wasn't very experienced or very determined to fight. Personally, she would have preffered to play or something...
Then, it hit Ex. Luigi is a Dark Weapon and is unbreakable... and the spheres are spinning around her...
Ex: "Well, just like Link from Dimension 4!"
HURRICANE SPIN!
Ex began to spin while holding her sword in front of her at such a speed that it caused a tornado, litteraly! If the wind didn't blew the spheres away, then a direct hit with Luigi did.
Whatever the spheres are made of, they cannot possibly pass trought Luigi as it is a Dark Weapon.
Furthermore, the tornado hacked apart the terrain and sucked in large quantities of grass and water (the battle is taking place in a marshland, remember?) and then sent it in all directions, probably doing medium-low damage to a certain Allaura.
This attack did have a drawback however! Ex had spun so quickly and for so long that when the tornado faded, Ex fell to the ground, grasping her head. She was too dizzy to move...

"Split personality?" Allaura thinks to herself. "Wow, yet another angle to keep in mind. Interesting."
Allaura holds her right hand up, and immediately the yellow and the blue spheres begin circling it very fast, while the red one moves behind Allaura and floats in place. Allaura then thrusts her hand toward Ex, and the two spinning spheres corkscrew toward Ex. The yellow one would do thuder damage and the blue would do ice damage if they hit respectively, and if they both hit the total damage would be pretty decent (normal amount for special attacks), but if one of them missed the amount of damage would not be very high at all. These spheres are special that way; they can't miss or it takes away from attack power.
The real special thing about these spheres is that Allaura can attack with them, AND pull off a special move in one turn. So she does.
"Focus Ally!" (echo effects)
Gold ether surrounds the red sphere behind Allaura, making it strongeer and faster for a few turns. |

It seemed as if Ex wasn't hearing what Allaura was saying.
Ex *thinks* What am I thinking?!? Controlling these powers isn't a life or death question! Why did I...
Luigi: "You're not ready to fight, period. Your desire to live your childhood is opposed by your... how can I call it? Oh yes... your program. In short, you have a split personality issue."
Ex *thinks* It isn't that bad isn't it?... tell me it isn't bad...
Luigi: "It's just that there's two of you. Your real self... and an uber serious copy that see everything as a life or death situation. That creepy speech you did sooner was your split personality's doing."
Ex: "Err..."
Ex stood there confused... and then noticed the bubbles.
Ex: "OK... first I get a split personality complex for some weird reason and then what? This is getting out of hand... it's like that stupid nightmare I'm having every night... exept worse..."
Obviously, Ex was back to her old self... but for how long? It seemed that each time Ex would be put in a battle situation, her alter-ego would awaken... may Ex like it or not.
...and since Allaura was preparing for an attack, it was only a matter of time before Ex's split personality rose again. |

The spheres actually pass right through the bubble as if it's not there. The reason for this is because the bubble ISN'T really there; it's actually in the Etheral Dimmension and acts as a portal for Etheral Matter from that dimmension to appear in the bubble (wisps) and counter attacks. Since the bubble doesn't really exist in this Plane, it isn't affected by the Oracle spheres... however, small amounts of data can still be absorbed by the spheres.
"Ex, are you okay? Emotionally, I mean. Aw, did you hear my prayer to Kyr'Shei?"
She pauses, thinking.
"That wasn't meant for you to hear. But it's okay... Ex, I revere you! I had... NO idea that you were half-Oracle! My friend Schwa has a small amount of Oracle energy infused into him, but that's different... With you, Oracle DNA actually flows through you! And I was so clueless to that...
"It's a huge honor. You may not have met Kyr'Shei, the Oracle Lord, yet, have you? He's kind of like a God, but he's an Oracle God if at all... I promise he's looking out for you, even as we speak, and you have his eternal blessings too. Never forget!
"Now, back to the battle... Ahem! Elegance Summoning!" (echo effects)
Three etheral rings open up in the ground, and out of those rings, coming out of the ground as if through a portal, come three more bubbles with pastel-type hues. One is light red, one is sky blue, and one is a whitish-yellow. Each bubble looks made out of ether and each is surrounding some rotating geometric polygon. Immediately after being summoned, the spheres fly to Allaura and orbit her at a slow speed.
"These oughta help. Now I can perform some new techniques!"
OOC: Ugh... I really oughta write Allaura's profile. Adlibbing moves this often is a challenge. You? |

Ex stares at the wisp and begin to think about how she could...
Ex: "GASP!"
Ex grasped her chest as the wisps came in close and began to strike her!... but most of the damage wasn't dealt by the wisps altought they did made the situation worse!
Ex's energy signature went awry. Overcharged with Oracle energy, Luigi twisted around, taking the form of a large snake. It then jumped out of her hands and surrounded her completely.
Then, it applied as much pressure as possible, trying to stop the internal bleeding as her inner energy went crazy. Luigi's outter surface also repelled a few wisps...
When Ex was done, Luigi as well as herself were completely covered with blood. Luigi slowly returned to it's form...
But then, something made Ex's concentration disappear....
Schwa: "To Kyr'Shei, the Oracle Master...
Bless this child, one of your daughters.
Forgive me for my ignorance of not realizing her identity.
Watch over us both as we strengthen our bodies and minds."
As Ex heard this, she suddenly felt something within her breaking up. As she saw her reflection in the blood-covered metal of Luigi, she wanted to cry...
It was only training... and yet, she had been unable to control herself as she struck, seeking to kill. Her rage had caused the protective, positive Oracle energy to turn against her corrupted, destructive Dark energy. For it was corrupted and if the Hunters couldn't do anything to repair it, then one could...
She was supposed to be the holiest of all holy beings... infused with the pure Dark power of the "Ex" beings and the meta-morphic nature of the Oracles... and yet, she was a failure. No wonder they ordered her to live her life to the fullest... for she was unable to fulfill any important duty. Who knows when she would turn against her own allies, hurting those she cares about?... or who knows when her body will finally break, sending her to the Emptiness?
Luigi: "Maybe we shouldn't continue... you're only hurting yourself... and it makes you sad. I don't want to see you sad."
Ex *thinks* I must... overcome... my flaws. The powers within me... must only hurt myself, not my friends. I MUST control them and for that, there's only one way to do it.
Luigi *thinks* But... do you know how much damage you'll inflict to yourself?!?
Ex *thinks* It is my nature, Luigi... I do not fear pain or even death. What I fear is weakness of the soul and forsaking those I fight for.
Ex wipped the blood off her mouth and resumed her battle position.
Ex: "Allaura... the rules have changed... I must control those powers within me... If I can't control them... then my life is meaningless for I will be a threat not only to myself, but to those I care for..."
Ex pointed Luigi at the Crimson Bubble.
Ex: "I begun this fight in order to pratice my skills... I will continue it becease that I need to learn. To control the Oracle energy and the Dark energy... to blend them together without spreading death... such is my goal. As such, I want you to continue attacking. Only by putting myself in a battle situation will I be able to fully control my powers."
Ex concentrated... now that the Oracle spheres were there and that she Luigi was ready to unleash it's power again, she was going to attempt to mix the ways of the Dark Overdrive with Oracle energy.
A burst of black flames came out of Ex as she unleashed the full extend of her powers... or so she tried to. It seemed that her last case of self-harm had taken a toll on her energy level.
As such, when she filled the Oracle spheres with nullifying energy and sent flying into the Crimson Bubble, trying to nullify it, they were only at 50% power and as such, had a high chance of failing. |

"Holy f--k! ORACLE energy!!?"
Allaura crouches and surrounds herself in red ether. She intends for EVERY single sphere to hit her, which would be drastic for her but downright dire for Ex.
Each sphere slams into Allaura, the ether decreasing some of the damage, but after all 31 hits have struck the damage is quite high. And with every hit, Allaura's Attack power climbs a few points.
But Crimson Bubble has been activated! Each hit Allaura took made the wisps inside glow brighter until the whole bubble was glowing a hot-white. And 3 seconds after the last sphere struck the mark, the bubble increased in size, then shrank to normal, at the same time firing thousands of little white wisps at Ex! They pour out of the bubble and the bubble is always 5 feet away from Ex's head, orbiting it, so dodging more than a slight few of these wisps is out of the question. The total amount of damage the entire cluster of projectiles does is equal to ALL the damage Allaura received in total, plus a little more since Allaura's attack power has climed quite a bit (hey, after 32 strikes, whaddya expect?). It also has the same elemental properties of Ex's attack, in this case, Oracle, so it would even have the same data-gathering effect (but collected data would ONLY benefit future Oracle attacks, not any of Allaura's Psychic or Holy moves).
After Crimson Bubble finishes shooting all it's wisps, it's red again and completely empty. But it's slowly filling up with orange wisps again, and in a few turns it would be fully charged to counter another move. Also: The red part of the bubble looks a little more dull and even transparent than before, almost as if it has withered a little.
By now, Allaura is kneeling to Ex and saying some kind of quiet prayer. Though it can't be heard, this is what she's saying:
"To Kyr'Shei, the Oracle Master...
Bless this child, one of your daughters.
Forgive me for my ignorance of not realizing her identity.
Watch over us both as we strengthen our bodies and minds."
Yes, Psi Warriors seem to hold Oracles in high religious regard. Go fig. |
