You should play all of them as soon as possible. They have good stories and plots.
One of the worst FF games I have played is FF10 and FF10-2. Cheesy as hell. FF10 has a little better story than FF10-2. I don't recommend playing them, but you can if you want. And another game I want to tell you is FF crystal cronicles. I would not call it a rpg, but its similar like a rpg. I have no comment on that game. You can play that.

The sad thing is that probably IS the reason...

Only because CT didn't have Tifa in it.

If you are going to recommend SNES RPGs, how could you forget CT, SMRPG, along with Paladin's Quest, Ys series, Star Ocean, Breath of Fire series, Tales of Phantasia, Earthbound, Illusion of Gaia, Lufia & The Fortress of Doom, EVO Search of Eden, Arcana, Secret of the Stars, Bahamut Lagoon (if you don't mind strategy mixed in), DQ series, Live a Live.... are there any that are actually WORTH PLAYING for the SNES that I forgot?

7th Saga.
I liked it

Also, the Fire Emblem series (again, strategy, but if you put Bahamut Lagoon on the list, you put this as well), the Glory of Heracles series, the Romancing SaGa series, Wizardry and perhaps the Ultima series, though they can't really compare with the originals for PC.

I don't know why, but I always liked Lufia I better than Lufia II. I think the music in Lufia I is livelier and cuter, I like the atmosphere in Lufia I better, and Lufia I actually has Lufia in it.

BTW, in Japan the games are called "Estpolis," though I think "Estopolis" would have been a better way to write it. What does that name mean anyway? "-polis" I think means city.

Any RPG made by Square is great.

Wait, any RPG made by Square is great??? Boy, are you in for a surprise. How about you recommend that paraplayer go and download "Square's Tom Sawyer", which, mind you, was a NES game released in Japan on 12/31/1989, and was never in the states... thank God. I can't give you the direct link to the SomethingAwful article, because it has a rom link to it. But I can tell you to go there, and I can tell you to Google "Square's Tom Sawyer" if you can't find it for whatever reason.

Also, FF9 wasn't that great. But this whole business of "everything by Square is holy... er, great" is just plain bullshit, as is evident by their attempt to create a game based on the Mark Twain book.

If you are going to recommend Secret of Mana, how can you forget Seiken Densetsu 3. If you are going to recommend Terranigma, how can you forget Soul Blazer? If you are going to recommend Lufia 2... ok, that game's awesome. There, that should keep you going for a while, paraplayer.

Oh, and Adamant, the GBA releases weren't THAT bad... if you are ever in doubt of this, just play Tom Sawyer

If we are making a list of PSX games as well, then... um, that'll take too long

That's no excuse. I've never owned a copy either and it's still my favourite RPG.

I played and loved Secret of Mana so much, that 2 wasn't anything special. The battles of SoM were although easier, much better than SD3's. It annoyed me how you just run along through a field, then completely stop just to pull your weapons out.

And about the Origins/Dawn of Souls thing... Sorry!
I never really cared for 'em anyway...

I got a whole lot of Square RPGs for PSX, that never got released outside of Japan... Some are hell-a-bad

blah blah blah....

PLAY SQUARE'S TOM SAWYER, DAMMIT! ...wait, hellabad? But that contradicts what you said.... earlier....

*AHEM*
Origins was the PS version. The GBA version was called Dawn of Souls. Don't confuse the two... We don't need more idiotic FF2/4 FF3/6 bullshit...

FF1 had a port to the MSX as well.

...I *never* knew that. Need to check that out just to see if there's any differences... (Then again, the MSX ended up getting Metal Gear 2 as an exclusive so nothing really surprises me with that system.)

If you want to play Final Fantasy Adventure, you have two choices - Gameboy (and there's nothing terribly wrong with that version) or the enhanced GBA port/revision/remake that was released entitled Sword of Mana, which isn't that bad.

Final Fantasy 8 was also available for PC.
And I did mention that FF1 and 2 were for GBA, meaning Origins.

I played FF Tactics Advance before I played the PSX version, and couldn't get into it. I didn't like the way the character's turns were based on. I'd much rather each teams has their turn before the other team's.

**EDIT** Sorry, I never knew that there was a PSX version of Origins.
