I assume you mean to divide the shape so that both halves have an equal area.

I believe this should work:

-Label the points 1-7:


-Draw lines connecting points 1&3, 2&4, 5&7, and 3&6.
-Label the resulting new points 8 and 9:


-Draw a line through points 8 and 9 from the left side of square A to the right side of square B:

Okay, my last one was too easy. Now it's harder:


This shape, is 2 squares that has sides that are "a" and "b" long, combined.
The blue line in the picture is to see where the borders were,
so you can use it as a drawn line.


Now, here is the question.

Divide the shape in the picture in half with only a straight line.

Except:
You have only a ruler with no lines, and a pencil.
You are only allowed to draw lines on the shape.
The line also has to be drawn through a point where the place is clear.
(In other words, you have to find where the point is by drawing lines to use it.)
